What's new

Iran's Infrastructure projects...

I will report on this project as more update become available..This project is even bigger than Iranian observatory
Iranian Cyclotron Project
Iran's largest science project

Synchrotrons accelerate electrons to high energy and then make them generate flashes of x-rays as they travel around a circular ring. These are then sent down "beamlines", to be used in a range of experiments in the fields of physics, nanotechnology, electronics, radiotherapy, pharmacology, industry, biology, environment and archaeology, among others.

  • Named "IRANIAN LIGHT SOURCE FACILITY"
  • ILSF is a 3 GeV third generation Cyclotron with a current of 400 mA and larger than the only other synchrotron in the Middle East, 2GeV Sesame ring in Jordan.
  • ILSF is being built on a land of 50 hectares area in the city of Qazvin, located 150 km West of Tehran
  • The ILSF storage ring has a circumference of 528m
  • The project has been in preparation for a decade. Work on a conceptual design for the ILSF begun in June 2010.
  • Some prototype accelerator components such as high power solid state radio frequency amplifiers, LLRF system, thermionic RF gun, storage ring H-type dipole and quadruple magnets, Hall probe system for magnetic measurement and highly stable magnet power supplies have been constructed in ILSF R&D laboratory.

Very ambition plans but also very much needed to turn Iran into an international Transport Hub.
Iran allocates $20 billion dollars for:
  • Construction of new Tehran's domestic Airport Terminal with 20 million passenger capacity
  • Revamp Iran's entire transportation network including airports, roads, railways and renewal of Air and ground transportation fleet

Defying sanctions, Iran turns into regional transit hub

Iran is launching an impressive "Green Energy "program
Having established all the in-house manufacturing facilities for Photovoltaic cell production and wind turbine manufacturing ..here is the plan to turn Iran into "renewable energy hub of the region"
1669125735955.png

some HIGHLIGHTS
  • A 13 fold increase of "Renewable energy" capacity will turn Iran from current 90 Giga Watts electricity capacity (currently highest in west Asia) to Electricity hub of the west Asia
  • Plan includes small" industry specific" Plants to large main supplier plants.
  • Capacity of "Green" plants will go from current 1 GW to 11GW .
  • Full participation of private investment in addition to government investments

  • T-2 Terminal project along with many other smaller projects are currently on going with 10 billion Euros private investment. T-2 Capacity will be 25 million passengers/year
  • T-3 Terminal Planned with participation of Chinese and domestic contractors and investors
  • Total Capacity of T-1,2,3 will be 90 million passengers per years

Test center for Test and verification of Iranian designed and built High voltage electricity Pylons.

It appears that they have designed a new pylon for the high voltage electrical grid. This center will test the mechanical and electrical integrity of the prototype Pylons..I think the pylon with single concrete shaft is the one being tested. These pylons will be the backbone of the Iranian electrical grid infrastructure for many years to come.
