This is interesting also from the perspective that it emphasizes Pakistan's historical, cultural and religious ties to its West, rather than the behemoth on the East, and in that aspect continues to solidify Pakistan's distinct identity, as a nation that is not 'Indian' nor 'Middle Eastern', nor 'Central Asian'.

A unique identity formed from the confluence of culture, trade, ethnicities and civilizations.
