    Post 66 BGB men jailed

    66 BGB men jailed

    Sixty-six jawans of 30 battalion of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Monday were sentenced to various jail terms ranging from four months to seven years for their involvement in the 2009 mutiny in Panchhari upazila of Khagrachhari.

    The court also acquitted five BGB men as allegations brought against them were not proved.

    The Special Court-15 started delivering the verdict at about 10:00am, reports our Khagrachhari correspondent.

    No one got tried for murder and killings? 4m to 7yr seems a cursory sentence for a mutiny where several officers were killed.
