He was good man but weak prime min. I think Vallabh Bahi patel was more deserving person for PM. it was him due to whom india is united , He kicked *** of Nizam and portuguese and ended rule of Rajas and Nawabs.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Jhaverbhai Patel was also a great leader but did not have the charisma and breadth of vision of Nehru .....

Just thinking what we could have achieved under Netaji as the PM of independent India.

    True that.
If he were there in 1947,Nehru couldn't have been the PM because of the following and support Netaji had all over India.
For that very reason Nehru & Gandhi undid him & never there was any positive initiative from the GOI when rumours were there that he is alive(which further deepens the doubt) .
The last part of the above statement though a speculation, what emphasizes it is the fact that Netaji had to give up the top post of Congress which he won, because of Gandhi's DISPLEASURE!
And I have to see this same guys face on my hard earned money.

Returning to the thread article it shows Nehru's farsightedness that he took up plans to break Pakistan soon after becoming PM. It is this legacy that Bangladesh is now facing with a hegemonic India as our main problem now .......

Yes it is not so unbelievable. The army officers who killed Sheikh Mujib were all acquitted in the Jail Killing case. In that case who killed the four national leaders. A separate RAW team killed these leaders in jail as India did not want a strong leadership emerging around Tajuddin Ahmed.

It is interesting that you have suddenly become very pro-Indian in recent weeks.

Yes but we would be a nuclear power .....

The question is not about having seceded from Pakistan but the Indian control over Bangladesh after Independence which had been planned well in advance. This is intolerable .....

if this is true, then it means, Nehru knew ground realities and wasn't idealistic as many believe
