Maybe you can re-read my post. I'm not debating on need for DEFENCE weapon's. Im wondering what do i gain by attacking Bangladesh. I gain a lot by attacking Pak or China. Why on holy cow should i or anyone else attack BD (save for Burma).

When we are discussing about national security,we have to consider the neutral countries' as Threat.Since Bangladesh-India is not allied like USA-Canada,neither BD can trust India nor India can trust BD.So it is important to consider your neighbour as the potential threat.

And India doesn't really need to go for an invasion.A naval blockade and bombing on strategic points is enough to neutralise Bangladesh,at present condition.

In case of a war between India vs China,then BD becomes important as India will have to bring its land troops into the game.It will depend whether BD remains neutral or supports any one party.

Thats not my question. Every country will have defense. No arguing on that part. Someone here mentioned Attack on BD. I couldnt figure out why would someone attack BD (sans Burma). You have your share of strategic depth, but attack as in war ... no way ... for what? . I have my doubt on Burmese attacking you as well .. but you never know with this lunatic's.

Correct. You are self answering.... point is even in case of my war with Pak/Ch, i cant possibly attack BD, unless you participate in the war , which again is not feasible as you dont have the needed depth to be even a passive partner, let alone be actively hostile. Sorry, not taking pot shot, but i cant buy the theory of attacking BD, as i can very well neutralize this front using diplomacy!

You dont have many choice but to be neutral.... what do you propose .. which of the nuclear giant will you antagonize..but more importantly what do you gain that you cant by staying neutral?
