Let me advise you something that will save both of our precious time. Go to Bangladesh, talk to the victims of rape and killings, and then do the judging, if you are really inclined to. Don't sit in Pakistan and make up fantasy stories. You know what usually happens when a Serb is told by a Bosniak about the war crime allegations? The Serb speaks the very same words that you did.

Like our Baishakhi, Persians have NOUROJ, many other nations have many different cultural events. We are not a country of dust, sand and oil. So, we do not have to wear Jobba like the the Saudis to become a Muslim. We are different from the Saudis, except that we are Muslims. Also, can you tell me why the name of SAUDI Arabia should not be regarded as un-Islamic, when 'Saudi' itself is a clan name? Go and make the Saudis muslims first, then come and purify us with your brand of Islam. Saudis also follow their ancestral habits and rituals. What is your opinion about Hajj? Isn't it historically true that Kaaba was there before the arrival of Islam and the Qafirs used to go there for their Hajj? So, by your own definition Hajj should also be abolished because it has root from non-Islamic time. By the way, can you enlighten us how our Bangla Calender came into existence? And also, enlighten us what is the black stone in the Kaaba.

Yes I wish they would have gone through due process. But you know, we are yet to put even the big fishes in due process. So I dont repent when I hear some of them got punished right after the liberation. Even a lot of people still wish that they should had punished by the Muktis only.

As soon as the BD government taken over and Mujib back from Pakistan, he disarmed all the muktis and pardoned the Rajakars. Biharis were taken to safety under the UN jurisdiction. No Pakistan army was harmed after the surrender. But this thread is not about war time events rather about Sk. Mujib's murder trial.

AI urges Bangladesh to commute death sentences
Sat, Nov 21st, 2009 5:02 pm BdST Dial 2324 from your mobile for latest news Dhaka, Nov 21 (bdnews24.com) -- Amnesty International has urged Bangladesh not to execute five convicted killers, former army officers, sentenced to death for the assassination of Bangladesh's founder Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The international human rights watchdog said that the murder of Sheikh Mujib and his family members on Aug 15 1975 were grave human rights abuses and the killers should be brought to justice. "However, bringing people to justice must not itself violate the human rights of the accused," it said. In a statement issued on Friday, AI urged president Zillur Rahman to commute the death sentences "as a matter of urgency". It also urged prime minister Sheikh Hasina to request the president to commute the sentences. "Amnesty International opposes the death penalty in all cases regardless of the nature of the crime, the characteristics of the offender, or the method used by the state to kill the prisoner," said AI. The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected the appeals of the five jailed convicts, upholding a previous High Court order awarding death sentences to twelve former army officers in all, six of whom remain fugitive while one has since died as a fugitive in Zimbabwe. The five condemned men—retired major general Bazlul Huda, dismissed lieutenant colonel Syed Faruk Rahman, retired lieutenant colonel Sultan Shahriar Rashid Khan, retired colonel Mohiuddin Ahmed and retired major AKM Mohiuddin Ahmed—await their fate now in Dhaka Central Jail. "The death penalty violates the right to life as proclaimed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It is the ultimate cruel, inhuman and degrading punishment." Following the rejection of their appeals, lawyers for the five condemned men have said they will submit a review petition with the Appellate Division. But the only real hope for them lies in clemency granted by the president. Amnesty International also considers that Bangladesh should immediately establish a moratorium on executions with a view to abolishing the death penalty altogether. The United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution on Dec 18, 2007 calling for a worldwide moratorium on executions. Why people are apologitic about what Quader Siddiqui did during war? If he was caught by those Razakars, he would have also been killed mercilessly. Why to criticize him for his acts during war. Because of him, Pakistani forces could not enter his region, Tangail, altogether. Because of brave people like him we have become a free nation finally, where the Pakistan military refused to hand over power to the elected representatives of the people.
But, I cannot endorse the treason of Quader Siddiqui when he took 9,000 of his guerrillas across the border and fought against his own country with support from India after 1975. |

National Heroes
Saturday November 21 2009 07:38:55 AM BDT Nazrul Islam , Bangladesh Mujib was responsible for the death of his family members, Mujib close 's lieutenant were responsible for his death.15th Aug marks the death of BKSAL death of a fascist rule. 15th Aug '75 is the brightest day of Bangladesh life when people of Bangladesh was relieved from the shackles of fascist rule of monstrous Bongobandhu who turn out to be the great Bangoshatru of all time, Sk family unleashed a reign of terror for all respectable Bangladeshi family. While the artificial famine was created by the Sk's Govt which was but only a looting machine making his notorious family friends and relatives become rich overnight known in Bengali term as "Angol Phule Kolagach". Sk Mujib himself claimed to be father of nation letting his infamous son Sk Kamal loot Banks and openly carry powerful LMG to terrorize the entire Dhaka City, Sk Moni out of blues became a powerful figure a powerful gangster after liberation and soon surrounded himself with nefarious activist and prof killers.Nasim the son of Shainerbad use to torture opposition leader to the point og killing them with the help of ''Jatio Rakhhi Bahini' known in those days as gang to torture Jalil, Rab and Bhashani. The Awami indian media kept blind eye to the crimes of Mujib and his family members and his supporters those who were honest left Govt service or suffered dearly the humiliation in the hands of illiterate AL leaders. We hear now after so many years lies again that Mujib or their 'Bangabandhu who died as Bangashatru that he believed in the rule of Law" Bangabandhu unified the complex nation to liberate Bangladesh, Sk mujib vision to create Bangladesh was extra ordinary!! etc , etc. Mujib who should never be called as Bangabandhu because his performance was always resulted in unwanted bloodshed including those during pre 71 days and after he returned from Pakistan with a secret pact with Bhutto another criminal leader subsequently from 1972 to Aug 1975 when an estimated 40 thousand JSD and NAP Bhasani leaders and workers was killed through his notorious Rakhhi bahini and infamous leaders .We know very well what kind of rule of Law Mr Mujib himself believed in . As a leader a person should have minimal qualification to understand what goes on in a critical situation such as after the 1970 election it was his stupidity and lack of common sense that 2-3 lacs people died in the lib war . Sk Mujib education qualification was typically a mystery he claimed to be BA pass ,an exam he made another person to appear for him belonging to hindu religion , his unifying capacity is another understatement , proven by the way he managed them during his 72-75 regime. Bangladesh is not a part India like Maldiv, Sikkim today because of these national heroes who killed the monstrous Sk family rule or the BKSAL, the smart people with minimal patriotism will realize it ,those opportunist or hypocrite will never get it. The recent appeal decision of the murder trial of Mujib or BKSAL is a joke with fabricated evidence an extension of the drama created by the same criminals during Sk Hasina'a rule. The last 34 years was not a dark era but today! when these brave son of the soil are degraded as murderers and our callous Bengalese nationalist forces are seeing the circus of Awami RAW media manipulations. Days are not far when we will see our country run by imbecile leaders and serial killer who will turn it into a spineless nation and act as slaves of India worshipping Mahalingum. Everyone will die one day, crimes are punished by lord in this world and hereafter some die as dogs and some as shahids according to their deeds.Like Brave hearts of Scotland these radiant Army officers will be remembered as national l heroes forever to the real patriots of Bangladesh. Lets say what your article here says is true, is it Islamic to kill women and children as these officers apparently did? Should'nt just this action be enough to convict them to a death sentence? |

If killing Mujib was at the top of their agenda, then after killing him they could have send the whole family to exile.Because, after Mujib,it was Khondokar Mushtaq who was in power and who was also part of the conspiracy. Besides, these officers had complete backing from General Zia ur Rahman, who knew about the plot all along. According to Col Farook in an interview after the killing, told when they told Ziaur Rahman about the plot: Quote:
This further proves the point that they could have just packed and send these people abroad to exile. They could have send the women and children at least. But they chose bloodbath, not even sparing young Rasel. So they do deserve death sentence for the killing of women(one of the was pregnant) and child.
