Where is the Indian money to further build up BD infrastructure? Only this fiorum members are gossiping about this. We have already thanked India for kindly donating a big $1 million to help SIDR victims.

Well India opened up a 1 billion dollar line of credit. Bit confusing aint it? I dont know whether BD need that or not and what kind of project they will be used for. So far I heard about rail infrastructure which India needs badly. They also want dredging in some of our rivers to protect India from flooding. Now this line of credit will only serve India.
India also gave transit for Nepal and Bhutan. Now those are Nepalese and Bhutanese transit trhough India to BD. Will our vehicle be allowed to pass through India? Thats a million dollar question as Nepalese and Bhutanese vehicle can enter India anyways and they can even come to BD border whic is extend to 200 meter inside BD border.

India agreed to sell power to BD. Good move. But India will also be benifited by earnig few cents selling those to BD as well as getting grid connectivity to Tripura. India also a gainer in this case.

Regional connectivity and Agartala - Akaura rail link, is it for BD or for India? Will the line of credit be used to build that or India will pay outright for this rail track as India will be the one using it.

Uses of Mongla and Chittagong port. I am not against opening those two ports to India. What is the volume Nepalese and Bhutanese be using those ports and what would be the volume of India? Who will pay for the rail and road track for carrying goods in and out of those ports? Will India be allowed only to use our tole roads that we are building or we the tax payer have to pay for the Indian goods? How much money BD will make at the end of the day?

There are too many unanswered question. We have to wait and see.

New Delhi, Jan 12 (bdnews24.com)--India's railways minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday called on prime minister Sheikh Hasina, during her stay in the Indian capital, to discuss the details of cooperation between New Delhi and Dhaka for rail-projects in Bangladesh.

"We are keen to step up bilateral cooperation in all fields, including the railway sector. I have had some discussions with prime minister Hasina and we will have more interactions both at the level of ministers and officials of the two countries in future," Banerjee told journalists after the meeting at the Hotel ITC Maurya.

Dhaka will use a large chunk of the US $ 1 billion credit line that Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh announced for Bangladesh during his talks with Hasina on Monday for railway projects as well as for procuring locomotives and rail-coaches.

Sources at the Indian railways ministry said that double-tracking the rail-link between Akhaura and Laksham, survey for improving rail connectivity to Khulna and Mongla and improvement of signaling system on Rajshahi-Parbatipur section could be among the projects for which Dhaka might ask Delhi to extend its assistance.

In addition to the US $ 1 billion credit line, Singh on Monday told Hasina that India would also lay the rail-line between Akhaura and Agartala – the capital of the northeastern Indian state of Tripura. The Indian Railways expanded its network to Agartala last year.

The issue of delay in customs clearance for Maitree Express between Kolkata and Dhaka also came up during discussion between Hasina and Banerjee, sources said.

The meeting with railway minister was the last official engagement of Hasina in New Delhi on the second day of her tour.

Don't worry friend, if a friend would so easily abandon BD just for this silly mistake then they are not worthy friends. Take for example relations with Japan, regardless of the past Sino-Nippon relations are solid. All we ask is a simple apology --- before I didn't understand the importance of a sincere apology, but now I know it can mean more than money. Nation-nation relations are built upon human-human relations, which are built on trust, emotion, and sharing. Regardless of several sabatures, barely a soul believes Iranians or Turks or whomever is bad. A wise person does not fall for these propaganda ploys.

It's is not a matter of interest or caring or concern. Everyone human being is important.

For example, during the earthquake in Sichuan of 2008 China was happy that many nations extended a hand of friendship and help. Even those with evil ulterior motives, we must still accept their offer..... why you ask? Because for the people in need, how can we refuse?

Likewise, when India offers to "help" if any other person/nation 'objects' --- then they will be looked upon poorly. Because most people would know understand the complex intricacies. Now I am not saying India has bad ulterior motives, nor am I saying that everything China or Japan does is 100% altruistic.

The TRUTH is that everything should be FAIR and should BENEFIT EVERYONE. Some members here accuse others of "doing it for their own benefit". Sometimes that may be true, but most times it is not --- people do things mostly for their own benefit but also for the benefit of others.

Think about it like this. Say you have a best friend, who is there when you need them and thinks of you. Wouldn't it be appropriate to reciprocate?! So, when all individuals benefit, that is a good thing.

And another point, if someone regards me as their good friend or best friend, then is would not mind at all if they have other friends. Why should I object?! I should be happy my friend is popular and his/her life is fulfilling. Likewise, we should be cautious but not be petty minded about such relationships.

This beautiful building was a gift from people of china to people of Bangladesh durning BNP regime as a symbol of friendship yet la-hasina changed the name to some bongobondu international convention center. China financed the whole project. It was a direct slap to Chinese face. This kind of low class mentality deserve no friends or interest. La-hsina making us subservient of dada bharat bro. If people do not wake up to prevent this dalals than we are doomed. This is not the way to humiliate friendly nation that has been with us for last 25 years. China should withdraw it high commission as a protest.

Just imagine that your friend X gives you a gift in name of friendship like X+Y friendship gift but later you removed both X & Y from the name X+Y friendship gift and the name remains as Z bondu (3rd person) gift, then what could be the relation between X and Y?
