He has never been to china you are right. The Indian railway network is far bigger, more congested with traffic and being a democracy people take some liberty.

It is nothing to do with quality.

Apart from above reason the Maoist and other insurgent supported by china are also the reason.

When your village becomes a metropolitan city

Metro is an abbreviation of metropolitan, and is the name of many products and services relating to urban areas, usually rapid transit rail systems, but also bus operators and/or services

Jokes apart, my serious concerns are, why can't ICF do this? Are they incapable or any other specific reason for why the contract has not gone to ICF.

My dad would be very upset if he comes to know about this :(

Justin.. What is the connection between civil construction and quality of rail coaches?
Are you saying that Indiahas the best quality of the construction in the world? Are you saying there are no accidents happening in Indian construction sites due to bad design or poor quality? Didn't you read the news about the silly accident which happened on DMRC construction site a few months ago?
Open your eyes. Don't be a frog in the well. Look around. Read and gain knowledge.
China builds more infrastructure in one year than what India builds in a decade. The infrastructre here is truly awesome and world class.
Its no crime to be jigoistic and nationalistic, but please don't expose your stupidity and ignorance.

There are many foreign companies that joint ventures with Chinese companies. There is nothing new. For examples, train, car, airplane, nuclear plant, helicopter. This does not mean China is incapable to produce them themselves.

A German company joint a Chinese company to build maglev trains. And currently, China is the only country that uses maglev technology extensively on its railway system. This maglev technology enables the train to go 270 MPH.

Also, I think Chinese electric train is the fastest in the world (220 MPH). I remember Japan used to boast its bullet train.
I am not – as it is you who is not aware that Bombardier has Joint Ventures in China. As such you should by Stock – Shares in the Joint Ventures as the Trains units Manufactured are for the most part manufactured by the joint Venture Companies. I feel that in the Car Industry the Bombardier Fully Foreign Owned Plants are sourcing parts from the Joint Ventures and then putting them together along with some “Sensitive” Parts which they manufacture in their Fully Owned Plants.

I am aware that Siemens are manufacturing the Maglev Trains – originally in Germany and possibly now in China. You should know better as I presume that you are an Honourable Chinese.

My Salutations to China for the Industrial Progress and it took India Twenty Years to realise that “Socialistic Nehruvian” Policies had no place in the Nineties. Thus they looked at China and finally decided to open up their Economy – Industrial, Commercial, Infrastructure etc.

I do hope that India derives the maximum benefits of China’s Economically and most Competitive Priced Goods as compare to the rest of the World’s Industrial Nations.

India-China trade is now in the vicinity of USD 50 Billion Annually and China is India’s LARGEST trading partner.

    Long it may so remain!

This is a very small news in china, just a economy news. No chinese take it as a big news. And stop show your jearous, it is very silly.

what is wrong in buying chinese trains?
in matters of business the only considerations should be of value for money...
if the Chinese give it....then they deserve it.

This is a good step for both countries. At the end of the day, we should treat business as business. If the Chinese trains are the best value for money, go for them! Treat it just like any other business deal.

@Justin Joseph: grow up man. when it comes to infrastructure development, we can learn from the Chinese (and we are, we are investing heavily in infrastructure now). They have a very good infrastructure base that allowed them to grow their manufacturing sector so much. And when so much construction takes place, accidents will happen. It happens in every country.

Learn to admire others' achievements. Don't late biases cloud your mind.
