Most of it is lost in stolen electricity and also we dont have a continuous national grid so surplus capacity in one area cannot be transported to a demanding area..leading to load shedding even with surplus capacity. And the import of electricity from India is just another zardari gimmick to fool the nation into thinking positive when it will not solve the real problem but create a lot of kickback for Zardari and Gangs!

Pakistan has installed capacity for 22000 Megawatts. The problem of load-shedding can be solved overnight if the IPPs (Independent Power Producers) are paid their furnace oil bill. But, if govt. pays the bill how will the corrupt politicians be able to make money by bringing rental power plants, importing electricity etc. etc.

We have adequate installed capacity; Govt. is corrupt and dishonest.

Who said India has surplus electricity ? Many states are facing power cuts...Whats with Indian politicians ?

Do you know how much Indian govt. is going to charge Pakistanis for the power?

Where as to power Indian villages your govt. has to invest in infrastructure, where as connecting Amritsar to Lahore require zero infrastructure.

I saw a news where Dr Samar said that if govt invest 1.2-2billion $ in Thar Coal energy project it can generate the needed amount of electricity(& i think gas also) & at very low rates. But this corrupt ghaddari & co want $$$$ which they can only get if they work for rental powers & import of ecity frm india. Why don't any one in Pakistan understand that he is working to destroy Pakistan's already collapse economy more b4 leaving power, he want Pakistan to be depandant on enemies & hostile countries, why is their so fat brains of people who can't get it through their heads?

Of course they gotta set their priorities of their spendings. Just saw the news 1-2 days ago that WB gonna give 1.8billion $ to govt. Everything is possible if their is willing.

I think your Tharcoal Project is a research Project and World Bank don't fund research projects but Real time project where they can expect return of their loans with Interest.
