Metro to open 10 stores in big cities of Pakistan

After the inauguration of first wholesale store of Germans multi national company Metro Cash & Carry many other international companies are also showing interest to invest in Pakistan which would increase the foreign investment portfolio.

According to sources, the first wholesale store of Metro has been inaugurated near Thokar Niaz Baiq Multan Road on 12 acre of land and total investment is about 15 million Euro. Metro Cash & Carry would set up 10 wholesale stores in Pakistans big cities where 1.15 billion Euro investment expected.

More than 10 thousand new job opportunities would be created by the investment of Metro. Metro is being imparted training to Pakistani farmers. Pakistan is the 29th country of the world where Metro has started its business, the sources further said.

They opened a Cash & Carry in lahore last October with 20,000 items for sale of which 80% are of Pakistan origin.

They are also well under way in the construction of a Cash & Carry in Islamabad.
