Cox's Bazar---Maha'Allah, Bangladesh is blessed
Salam I am opening this thread to introduce and promote Cox's Bazaar in new image to PDF members. I am hoping to get some support and feedback if BD is moving at right direction to make Cox's bazaar a major tourist destination in Asia. Cox's Bazaar has immense potentiality to become one of hot spot but unfortunately government turned blind eye however last several years Government and private sector took major step to improve the infrastructure to attract tourist. Many project still underway to make it more hospitable to the tourist. It's naturally famous for Miles of golden sands, towering cliffs, surfing waves, rare conch shells, colorful pagodas, Buddhist temples and tribes, delightful sea-food--this is Cox's Bazaar. Located at a distance of 152 km. south of Chittagong, the leading seaport of Bangladesh, Cox's Bazar is connected both by air and road from Dhaka and Chittagong. About Cox's Bazar Cox's Bazaar District is a district in the Chittagong Division of Bangladesh. It is named after Cox's Bazar, which is one of the world's longest natural sea beaches (120 km) including mud flats. It is located 150 km south of Chittagong. Cox’s Bazar is also known by the name “Panowa”, the literal translation of which means “yellow flower”. Its other old name was “Palongkee”. The modern Cox's Bazar derives its name from Captain Cox (died 1798), an army officer serving in British India. It is also one of the fishing ports of Bangladesh.
