Default India developing 6000 km range Agni-6 SLBM with MIRV

Thanks to trolls, first thread has been closed. So starting new thread to discuss.

    Agni-6

DRDO developing new Agni-6 (A6) missile with MIRV capable of launching from both ground and submarine. It has 6000 km range.

Also note 5000 km range canister launched Agni-5 and technologically challenging Agni-2P.

Its a great news but due to internal politics of drdo shaurya missiles are lost in ICBM race.

Agni is more bulky and traditional missile while Shaurya is compact and hybrid missile.
Dude no bulky missile can go inside a submarine. All the SLBM is compact. So is Agni-6 unlike earlier Agnis. There is nothing called internal politics of DRDO. Shaurya is ready.

it may well be in its final design face, or else i dont see any reason for drdo to release such info.
If it is indeed true, then its going to be a true ICBM in evry sense and i dont see drdo officials being so stupid that they wud release an info on a revelutionary new class missile just in its initial phase of development.
anyway i hope to see it within 4 yrs or so.
    bst f luck again
The source is DRDO website with details of the missile so it is true and near to completion. Otherwise they wouldn't release such info.

Team DRDO has been Going Smooth on R&D , It has been enhancing its facilities, a 6000Km range Missile wouldnt be a Problem when We have 2 Govt+1 Pvt World Class Design and testing Laboratories in India... Indian Pvt Industry has been supporting the Defense establishments in a Well Established manner.... India now has state of the art facilities and Skillful Laborers to do this job perfectly... Good luck to DRDO, as In Future, these are the Institutions which would decide the Strategic Interests of the Country....
Well said sir. In recent years DRDO has made significant development on cutting edge technologies for various fields. These new weapons are result of that.

A submarine variant can always be launched from land using special silos constructed similar to that of submarine. Where as large missiles like agni5 cannot be stored in submarines though they are capable of using in silos.
We can see the development of agni missiles by comparing sizes.

U can see the variation of sizes here.
For a missile to fit in submarines, its height should be low and lesser cross section is also a factor.

Well, DRDO is not expected to contribute to the country now, the economy is going great, DRDO is tasked mainly on R&D , India can get better weapons available in the market, The very purpose of DRDO is study and Learn from the TOT India gets.... The Situations do not stay the same for long, There would be times when India has to rest its hopes on DRDO , For that Very moment DRDO must be prepared to meet it...

tvsram1992, Yes, our longest range missile is a SLBM mean it is a small one.

But there is a question why DRDO going for a 5000 km and a 6000 km missile? The reason might be Agni-5 is a upgrade of Agni-3 with one extra third stage while Agni-6 is a all new SLBM.

Well I think that is the main reason why we DRDO should opt for futuristic projects. These projects will take time and should be ready when we need them. Earlier they struggled due to lack of fund as well as infrastructure and technological base but now it is there.

Well Certainly, DRDO is going Futuristic, DRDO has developed Many a technologies which have not yet reached the developed worlds.... Nation needs DRDO for what its doing, India cannot be buying all its life, Innovation can only be done when there are active and rapid inventions...
