Indian Navy is all set to induct 95-100 new warships in coming 10 years. That also has a all new aircraft carrier as well

55 of the planned 95 warships are in biult stage across various defence docks in India. Remaining 45 warships purchases are in the final deal stages, as informed by Admiral, G. Mahadevan in New Delhi yesterday. He also added INS Vikramaditya is being constructed in Russia and will start testing phase by next week.

My dream, INDIAN BLUE WATER NAVY, will become a reality soon

Yes, it is bro. If you take the last 3-4 years, you can see the increase in speed of defence modernization. 10 yars and 100 ships, thats only 10 ships per year

All these won't be built in Indian shipyards only but through all over the world including India, Russia, France, Sri-Lanka might be Germany, South Korea, Vietnam.

So will see a major part of induction in next 5 years not 10 years.

Definitely, teh cost of Scorpene class sub is near $5 billion and the follow on class sub with AIP will cost even more, and add Vikramaditya and Vikrant with P75A and the Frigates and corvettes, it goes way beyond what IAF will project to spend in years!

Navy is on a rampage, and it has to be. Because History says that great navies rulled the world.

Well pretty much all major shipyards in India are undergoing MASSIVE modernization and capacity building efforts (for eg GRSE is to complete an overhaul this year that will boost capacity 170%). Not to mention a fair few of these platforms will be built abroad (eg the LHD/LPD programme requires half the boats to be built in foreign shipyards, P75I has a similar provision and this is likely to be a trend when it comes to foregn ship purchases, thanks to the good thinking of IN).

I'd say this proccess is going to far exceed the MMRCA program. Take in mind even the smallest vessels IN are procuring like the OPV/FAC cost in excess of $100 mill EACH and the "big boys" like P-15/A costs almost $1 BN EACH and P-17A costs ~$800 mill (P-17B are likely to cost a bit more), even Talwar Class cost $6-700 mill each and then ACCs cost $2-3 BN (IAC 2 will most likely be quite a bit more). It is an expensive game but it produces some mean results!

That's not totally correct, only the first one or two ship of the class will be made abroad rest will be made in Indian shipyards.

Old news but great news.IN is really doing far better than other two services.But only thing I didn't like is the idea of procuring six entire new SSKs under project P 75A.Instead it would have been far economical to increase the order of Scorpene SSKs.There is no need to induct two differt type of SSKs,no navy in their sane mind would do this mistake.Can't figure out what IN is thinking!!

The only reason was AIP, the current french Scorpene AIP is not a prooven platform yet. Else they would have gone for 6 more scorpenes.

Hay my new chap,you are missing three crucial points here when you are saying that Indian shipyards could produce
only 3-4 warships per year.Lets discuss them.

1st,till thir date our shipyards except Cochi were using outdated procedures but now our government shipyards are being massively upgraded with 400 ton Goliath cranes and modular ship building capability which will cut the required time by half.

2nd,HSL Vishakhapattanam has been taken over by MoD and now is solely a defense ship yard-this too will help the bring up the number of warships can be built per year.

3rd,most crucial point-the private shipyards like ABG shipyard,Pipavav,L&T etc has entered into the fray with their modern facilities.
So,8-10 warships now seems possible more than ever.
