I saw this medal prediction list of 2012 olympics

2012 medal projections

It is giving India 30th rank (a great jump from last 50th rank) with 2 gold, 3 silver & 3 bronze & a total of 8 medals.

This will be a great boost for Indian sports since it will be 5 more medals from the last olympics which itself was a medal record for India.

Also currently 76 players in 13 sports have qualified with may be 2-3 more to add, this will be a record highest contingent of India in the olympics, India is slowly but surely making it's presence felt in the biggest event on Earth!!!

During the Common Wealth the interview of players were taken. One lady told before camera that "hum 2 1/2 saal se is game me mehnat kar rahe he. hum asha vadi he aur apni taraf se puri koshish karenge." This r the words required. no matter u win medal or not but let us see u give ur best performance to win.

In olympics few games are not clean.... Specialy boxing. In boxing most split decisions goes against the guy or female who actualy won but declared looser.... India can do alot better this time but you know the brits.... Specialy after india picked dasault jet fighter the brits are boiling in anger. Our goverment officials wont be present in olympics.... i always believed that india can do alot better if our Coaches dont drug our players. Most of them were druged by Coaches. This Coaches gets money from other countries who thinks so and so players can be threat to reduce their medals tally. The big culprit is our Goverment.... Who dont even care taking care of our players. Let alone punishing the coaches.... India can be inside 10 but for that our Goverment has to change the way it thinks....

In a great boost to Indian Olympic dreams & it's medal prospects Saina Nehwal has continued her good form by lifting the Indonesia open by beating world no. 3 Xuerui Li of China this comes after just days after she won Thailand Open, she surely is the one to look forward to in the olympics, if she have a good run in olympics she can clinch even the gold

major boost to Indian Olympic gold quest!!!!!!!!

India's Deepika Kumari becomes World No. 1 archer

India's Deepika Kumari became the World No. 1 woman archer last week ahead of South Korea's Bo Bae Ki.

Deepika, who won her first World Cup individual recurve gold medal in May in Antalya, climbed up from the third spot to the top with 253 points.

She is the second woman archer from India to achieve this feat. Dola Banerjee was the first woman to become the numero uno archer. Currently, there is no other Indian in the top 20.

Deepika has also qualified for the London Olympics along with Laishram Bombayla Devi, Chekrovolu Swuro and Jayanta Talukdar.

Last month, she beat South Korea's Lee Sung Jin by six set points to four in the final to clinch the gold. She had won the second set (29-27), fourth (27-26) and the fifth set (28-27) after losing the first (27-30) and the third (27-29).

Deepika is the current junior World Champion and a gold medallist at the Delhi Commonwealth Games. She had also won the Cadet World Title in 2009.

on the contrary, we may have raised a medal hope, if Paes & Bhupati would have gone together in the olympics, only one doubles team would have been there & that too of a pair which not even have talked for 7-8 mths also they have earlier gone in 4 olympics without any medal in return, doubles pairing is like a marriage, if you do not have good relations with your partner than the marriage is doomed to fail. so it's better to send bhupati- rohan together & another doubles team than to send lee-hesh together. also if one see probability than India will have 2 doubles team in 32 teams, thus increasing the chances of winning a medal.
