gr8 snaps....personally i din like the arrangement of one sitting behind another...would have preferred sideways sitting arrangement...

The Second Picture display the operator station for the radar unit and the radome which is revolving on the fuselage of the IL-76 aircraft. This station monitors the interoperability of all the signals with the target operators on board and the correction of any malfunctions in the radar while airborne.

Great pics!!!! So, now we know why the Phalcon delivery was delayed!
The Israelis were taking 'interior design' lessons to please the IAF. 
Man the Israelis have a great taste for luxury!!!! 
Lucky IAF!! Hope they don't overindulge!!

I have my doubts that these pics are from inside an Israeli Phalcon Radar on the converted IL-76! The reason is that the operator console in the second pic is for a Radome Control Radar (Phalcon has Phased Array Scanning Radar to the side of the fuselage, and a big front-look radar in the nose) and the IAF Arm Tag displays an IL-76 with Radome on top. So this may very well be the inside of the standard Russian IL-76 AWACS instead! The shoddy 'tapping' on the floor to hide the wire work may also be a dead give away of Russian 'high tech' Originally Posted by Screaming Skull
