sigh... another pointless thread...
That is wat i told u all guys......... No point in arguing over some crap .

conflict between india and china will drag in pakistan. Thus if a china-india conflict arose irrespective of who started it, india will go to war with pakistan. If chinese started it, it may actually give a good excuse, and pakistan is now handling it's own internal problems. The time to watch for is prob between now till around 2012
If wars happen between china and india china will likely give a sharp push then withdrawn, but pakistan will be drawn into a longer conflict. If india does not make new move in the west after china pulls away, pakistan will be on it's own

Will We be afraid, If they give us a warning, everyone knows that China and India cannot go into a war, because both countries are the top 2 fastest growing economies.... and India is not as same as in 1962, and China has changed a lot aswel, We are not soft targets anymore as we were after independence... We have come a long way, a war will lead to total destruction of both the sides...
So Both cannot attack each other..... simple as that...
Not so sure about that, Pakistan is a factor beyond indian control. Also your general Kapoor said something before.
What I'm saying is, in the unfortunate event that china-india war break out, it can be used as an excuse to fight with pakistan because pakistan factor is beyond indian control so they would rather initiate contact. But I agree that the likely hood of china-india war is small. But small arms clash may not be ruled out.

Maybe. It is hard to tell. lots of factors, media, population sentiment, personal agendas of the generals
also depends on size of conflict

of course, you are right. but the same goes to china too.
this is what china's situation in 1962:
1) USSR had pull out all of her support to china since 1959, and they almost nuke each other in 1969 if US didn't intervene at the last moment;
2) US, after frighting with China in korea in 1953, waged another war in Vietnam from 1959-1975, China also took part in form the beginning to the end.
This is what China "got" form the 2 superpower at that time. maybe you could list what India received for USSR and US before and after the war . and one more thing, China's GDP is almost the same with, if not less than, that of India at that time.
You are right. I did not take nukes into account
