Just that the opening post in this thread is utter drivel. Water gets tied upto RAW, Mumbai and half a truck-load of crap. Water is a necessity of life for the citizens of any country and these issues will get best sorted out by dialog. The IWT was the product of such dialog. We need to keep such engagement going on.

I dont know who spreaded this mistatement that Pakistan retains one third of Kashmir and India two third when actually Pakistan has relatively a bigger part than one third.

Jammu and Kashmir Total Area=222,236 sq km
Azad Kashmir Total Area=13,297 sq km
Gilgit Baltistan Total Area=72,971 sq km
Askai Chin (China) Total Area=37,244 sq km
Trans Karakoram Tract (China)=5800 sq km

Doing the calculations now India retains 222236-13297-72971-37244-5800=92,924 sq km


India= 92,924/222236=41.81% area
Pakistan=(13,297+72,971)/222236= 38.81% area

If you have the slightest care for humanity and mandkind and seriously dont want to see Pakistan's common people to suffer from water shortage...You will never do this to Pakistan....I dont but politics and wars should be kept aside when talking about common poor people of India and Pakistan....If you stopped Pakistani rivers you will be remembered in history as the most brutal thing a nation did to another nation. Doing that will place you among the list of cruel creatures on earth.

Leave it, emotionally charged people can mix anything with anything (regardless of relevance). A good exanple of that was the opening post. When that happens, then unfortunately the issues get conveniently obfuscated. After that, any talking reduces to a waste of time.

But reasoned dialog may come up with worth-while results. That is a different matter.

Look my dear friends from Pakistan...If India is building some dams then what we are doing to overcome that???? Are we building any dams, Rain filled resorviors??? Basha dam inaugrated 5 years ago keep inaugurating again and again....Neelum jhelum dam ka khyaal itney arsey baad aaya humhey that too is going above estimated costs....What about Kalabagh dam...if i start discussion about building or non building it then People of different provinces will start fighting over each other....But when India builds some dam everyone remain silent...>Are we silent spectators or want to do something to protect our nation....If we cannot minimize the effects of Indian dams on Pakistan then we do not have any right to fight with Indians on this forum as they are not the ones directly building dams or making Indian government policies....Fighting on this forum will have no effect on our waters...One should open his eyes and Kabutar agar aankhen band karley tu woh Billi sey bach nahi jaata....We have just closed our eyes and doing nothing at our end....In previous 5 years can anyone give me the lists of dams build in Pakistan????

Well, this is the third time I'm asking the same question. I hope you'll answer it this time. When will Pak withdraw from occupied Kashmir so as to conduct the referendum there?

I guess we should have the referendum according to UN resolution. And UN resolution ask Pakistan to withdraw from its occupied Kashmir. The referendum will be done under India's observation.
