Pakistan Fashion Week 3 London Dates and Venue Confirmed
Riwayat are delighted to announce that the third celebration of Pakistan Fashion Week London event will be held from the 16th to 18th November 2012 at a new central London venue.
After two seasons of immensely successful catwalk shows, the Spring/Summer Collection from leading and emerging Pakistani Fashion designers will be put onto a new and extended catwalk at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London’s Covent Garden.
Co-founder and Creative Director Adnan Ansari said “The Grand Connaught Rooms offer us a first class central London venue. The suite of rooms are classically modern, with a light and airy grandure, fitting for the status of this internationally acclaimed event.”
This year’s event will feature 35 emerging and leading designers from Pakistan’s fashion industry. Designer’s names will be released in the coming weeks pending visa awards but are expected to include some of the top names of the industry across four catwalk shows. Tickets will be onsale from the 6th August from our online site.
Last May’s event was applauded by a full house including the High Commission of Pakistan in the UK Mr Wajid Shamsul Hasan. Hello Magazine Pakistan, FAQ, DIVA, Mag the Weekly, Pakistan Today and the Tribune with ARY Digital and SONY Entertainment TV Asia broadcasting the shows on their channels shortly.

Dates announced for PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2012

The Pakistan Fashion Design Council [PFDC] announced the dates for the second season of PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2012, scheduled to take place in Lahore from October 3-6, 2012 in collaboration with L’Oréal Paris, the world’s leading beauty brand. This announcement follows the critical success of the debut PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week held in December 2011 which showcased 16 fashion and jewellery designers styled by over four make-up artists over a period of four days highlighting bridal fashion wear, makeup and jewellery trends for this year.

Culturally, in any Pakistani wedding, the bride is always the focus, with her outfit and colour palette, makeup, accessories and overall bridal look chosen in keeping with the belief that a bride is to be the most beautiful woman for that special day. Bridal fashion remains the most influential and primary form of fashion and style within Pakistan today. To this end, PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2012 endeavours to define and present both contemporary and traditional Pakistani bridal fashion, jewellery and makeup trends, fusing to create the ‘look’ for the bridal season 2012 – 2013.

Showcasing bridal trends for 2013, will be leading names and brands from within the fashion and jewellery industry. PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2012 will also be featuring individual makeup artists each day, who will be presenting their interpretation of bridal makeup trends on their respective days.
