Default Turkish girl writes to Zardari

ISLAMABAD: A nine-year-old Turkish girl student Merve Tekinay has donated her one full years pocket money of 150 Turkish liras in cash and her doll as contribution to the flood relief effort.
In an instance of sublime affection demonstrated by the ordinary Turkish people for their Pakistani brethren Merve hailing from Konya, the burial place of Sufi saint Jalaluddin Rumi, also addressed a personal letter to president of Pakistan.
The handwritten letter in Turkish language promises continued help, I will go on sending my help. Dont hesitate, we are your best friend.
Merves letter says, I dont know how much needs, equal to our help for your situation. I send you one-year pocket money and my doll. In the behalf of our friendship I also send a photo of me. The letter further says, I am little, I saw Pakistan in the news and felt so sad. My daddy told me that you helped us in Independence War a lot. So now it is our turn to help you in this flood.
I wrote this letter because I want you to know that we are all informed about this, the letter said. The letter ends with, May God help you. Kisses.

hmm well it all starts from the end of ottoman empire.Because at that time the holy land was controlled by turks so muslims of India had a lot of respect for them.

If ottoman empire got defeated there was the danger of non Muslims entering Holy land.

So in muslims of India got together and sent everything they could to ottoman empire from money to medicine everything.Infact a huge movement of civil disobedience was carried out by Muslims of India.

So you can say that relationship between subcontinent Muslims and turks started decades before the creation of Pakistan.

Relations between both the countries are deeply rooted in history. The Muslims of South Asia, now the people of Pakistan, had always kept the cause of freedom and independence of their Turkish brethren as their very own sacred cause. The support and solidarity extended by the Muslims of South Asia to Turkeys national war of independence is embedded deep in the collective memory of the Turkish people. The people of Pakistan also perceive it as a part of their own independence movement. Muslims of the sub-continent rejoiced over the victory of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatrk.
Pakistan has historical releations with Turkey just like we have with China. Though ottomans never ruled part of present day Pakistan directly there were many princely states of India (and present day Northern Pakistan) which declared their alligence to Turks and contributed soliders in Ottoman army which would later fight for the Ata Turk cause. This was because the Mughals and Ottomans were rivals and those who feared Mughal invasion aligned themselves with Ottomans.

Bu yardım iin ok teşekkr eder Marwa(Merve), ok teşekkr ederim Trkiye.

Your land and your people are beautiful. And like you they all expressed their sympathies and their desire to help in this flood ordeal for us.
