we call them "kirkali" where we live.........i used to be scared of them when i was a kide until my uncle explained that there where like natural "fly-insect killer" and without one in the room it would soon be running full of insects.

I loved the lizards in my house until they grew into multitudes. They stare you in the eyes, are soft to touch and eat your roaches and smaller patangay. However they croak at night and wake you up, and once your house becomes over-infested they grow confident and eat from your plate when you ain't looking. First-hand accounts!

damn! I guess we were lucky then. Never in my life have i encountered over-confident lizards.

i find that they usually like to hide behind paintings and decorations....our home in Peshawar has high ceilings, so most of the time they were up there near the window sill.

i prefer lizards over roaches and crickets.....crickets especially. Those bastards like to chew on clothes, and they make their annoying sounds

Well I'm not exactly scared, and have no problem killing them. I'm a farmboy, so used to kill snakes and scorpions all the time. But chipkalis, they just run away. I hate when I'm eating and they just watch me with their beedy eyes.


Plus not all girls with them are scared of them either. The girl I used to play with next door, Mariam, was like "chipkalis are soooo cute". I was like

Chochroches are hell scary specially they fly and attack and get the hell out of you

Actually, I have never been near one, so no accidents, expect for once when I was around 8 (ELMO, ma'am, you would like to read the rest) I mistook a dead small lizard for rubber toy nd played with its dead body. I am cencoring the part that I actually put it in my mouth.

After I found out it was real, I was sooooooooooooooooooooooo freaked out!
And I really hate roaches, nasty experience with them, so I would mind having 2 small lizards in my home for being 'anti-roach'

Anyways, Have personal body guards, with M4s, and shoot them all!

One thing I am glad about in Canada is that there are no lizards. I used to absolutely hate them, was actually scared of them at one point when I was young. Now I would just take a chappal and hit the chipkali with the chappal like a madman.
