Hi All Members,

Just wanted to introduce myself.

I have been a silent observer of this forum for a while and have read through quite a few threads. With so much going on in this world, I have decided that I need to be part of the discussion and contribute my 2 cents, paisas whichever u fancy...

Plain and simple I am here to learn as much as I can....My aim is to rid people of any misconceptions about my own country/people/cultures or other countries/people/cultures I have knowledge of...and to rid myself of the same.

I have always been a big Armed forces buff and personally wanted to join the Air Force.....unfortunately the path to gain "more" of everything has nudged me in a different direction....

I hope to serve my country in any way possible...through money, creating employment or even fight if need be......there is no right way to contribute to the motherland.....

I live in N. America. I don't think it is feasible (nor desirable) for all of Asia to be one big country (or several large ones) as there are too much differences. But I do desire for greater cooperation, friendship and trust. The model example is ASEAN, each unique and special but they get along. A EU type institution is a bad idea since autonomy is lost, you are forced to follow an agenda that benefits the stronger players. Even NAFTA model is okay.

We may argue about who is better or worse than who here, and it may get nasty. However, these arguments don't lead to anyone getting killed or injured. This platform is better than war. Cheers!

Haha....nice question...I would say Bajirao I...for his prowess in battle...but I just like the concept of the Peshwa...intelligent generals and able administrators.....Wish our current leadership could learn from our past....but we tend to rely on illiterate third class citizens to represent us....something I believe is ingrained in us due to the manner in which we won independence......anyways I could go on....
