We push ourselves back to their frame of thinking.

How true!! It was always the individual - if he happened to be Muslim - well, great!

I'm not sure his religion had anything to do with his scientific genius.

Others of different religions performed also. What religion were the Egyptians that built the pyramids? hmm..

I think the proper way of wording would be 'Invention under Islam' instead of Muslim inventions. And for the record, the core of scientific revolution was invigorated by Muslim philosophers through their admittence of believe and reality were two different entities. Europeans furthered that up by separating church from state and made great progress in scientific discovery but by taking that route they also opened the hell gate of material greed and perpaterated wars.

I have always argued Western historians, media, "academics", and "intellectuals" have distorted true history, in order to give themselves more glory, attention, significance, and importance in the World. All while minimizing the quality, contribution, and effort of other civilizations mostly non-western ones.

One major example includes when the European's claim that Robert Boyle was the Father of Chemistry, when the True Father of Chemistry is Jabir ibn Hayyam in the 8th century C.E.(sometimes spelled Haiyam). There are countless other false assertions by Western historians and "intellectuals" as well.

This thread is another testimony to such an argument.

It ought to be the goal of this Muslim generation to reclaim History, to reclaim the glory ,and to reclaim the Truth.

Arsenal6, do you support the Arsenal FC ( Football club)? I do know about muslims inventing the atlas but Muslims discovering North and South America is revelation.

Actually it was the Greeks. Certainly you have heard of Icarus? They invented spaceflight too, his father went into a low solar orbit (that mission didn't end all that well).
