    Default Ministry denies report of Rehman-Musharraf meeting



    ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry has categorically termed a news item appeared in ‘The News’ on Thursday as absolutely baseless regarding a one-on-one meeting of Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior A Rehman Malik with President Pervez Musharraf at Aiwan-e-Sadr.It is said in the news item that A Rehman Malik had a one-on-one meeting with President Musharraf on the sidelines of the official dinner hosted by the president for the formation commanders An Interior Ministry statement on Thursday clarified that Rehman Malik attended the dinner along with other guests at the Presidency and as a matter of fact he left the Presidency before the conclusion of the function as he had some other engagements. “Any tete-i-tete with the president is totally baseless, false, unfounded, therefore, the news item is nothing more than sheer speculation and meant to create confusion,” the statement added.

    Haven't we always denied everything in Pakistan. Benazir-Musharraf meeting, Zardari - US nexus and scores of other meetings.
