Days are numbered for corrupt government officials: Imran

ISLAMABAD: The chairman of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan said the ruling mafia is taking its last breath and that the days are numbered for corrupt government officials.

Speaking to a women’s gathering, he said that his party will bring back the nation’s money that has been looted and saved abroad. “I have never surrendered to anyone and will never surrender in the future,” said Imran khan.

The PTI chief further said that he will bring about unbiased accountability after coming to power. He announced that he will strive to give women all their rights and make sure that poor women will be provided legal assistance for their cases.

Take these cowards out for good. Keep them away from ever gaining any sort of power ever again. They're the reason so many people in Pakistan don't have access to food, water, electricity, shelter etc., nothing being done too prevent terrorism, and have degraded and put shame to the country.

Noble words like these have been said many a time in Pakistan's history, without any meaningful change. I will believe them when I see any results. The election is not that far off anyway.

The horrible people we refer to as leaders are representatives of our society. It's not only the government that's corrupt but the society too is corrupt. Honestly, there is scum in every segment of our society. Pakistan at this point in time needs a complete overhaul, ever inch of the country needs to be purified. Most of the problems we have today are the results of decades of corruption & mismanagement, except that it's only now that all those issues have come to light. As I said in an earlier thread, Pakistan needs an Italian renaissance of its own.

I agree, politicians have always managed to exploit the sentiment of the "sheeple" in Pakistan. Unfortunately it's that "sheeple" aspect of Pakistani society combined with their gullibility that has always kept them back. People there tend to follow rather than think for themselves. I hope something good comes out of these elections.

I hope so too, but the likelihood for success after the election remains small, no matter how promising words like these sound at present.

But could you please tell us WHY you say so?

Besides how many "patriot Pakistanis and believers of justice" are there truly? Four, may be five at most?

Why is that? Do you think PTI will not keep its promises of change & reforms?

I am not really fond of any politician in Pakistan, I am not too fond of democracy either. Democracy is never going to function in our society not only because of the corrupt nature of many people in the country, but also due to the high illiteracy rate & the "sheeple" nature of our people.

PTI may try to keep its promises, but the real power belongs to the army, the bureaucracy and the feudals still, and I just don't see them giving up their stranglehold.

............ but the ways of man are quite evident, are they not? Just look at what they have done to Pakistan already.

Convicts seem to have better qualifications necessary to rule Pakistan, it seems.

Well said, he has recently thrown away.. many key alliances and respectable personalities in lap of N.Sharif.

    Is he serious!

Today, Pakistanis are looking for a platform against PPP and he is confusing them!

IMO.. He is only good to divide anti PPP votes.

Now you want commando after giving us lessons of democracy?

Well... if you really wish to see commando action of Musharraf than.. expect him to hit you in your least expected moment.

You are a joker! i'm sure he is living much more respectable life than you and has lived a proud & honest life.

Start a thread and i'll happily discuss his strategy there.
