How frequently does a citizen renew his or her ID? I got my voter ID many years back and I don't think I'll have to renew it as long as I don't damage it.

Its needed for every little thing, including getting a SIM card. Keep tying it up with more and more services - and I thin it is already needed to cast a vote. So ultimately you can sort of 'save' your choice before hand as per your convenience.

The only problem I see to this is the issue of anonymity.

No need for such stick measures, we should encourage people and simply the electoral process.

The number of cell phone users and eligilble voters in Pakistan are almost similar 85 million. ALong with electronic voting machines their has to be some method of casting votes through mobile phones.

Excuse me but we have full right to not vote when all the parties are just as corrupt as each other. Why should we be forced to vote for the lesser devil (PTI) than to not vote at all and bring the system of democracy down?

There are millions of Pakistanis who thinks in the similar way, that all are corrupt except them and since they are the only Walli Allah left in this country so why should they vote any corrupt persons who is Not Walli Allah also.

Actually people are lazy and they think it is not worth their time .. There should be an option for void vote ..if someone sees devil in every candidate he is free to cast his void vote .. I dont think after taking all the pain to go to the booth many people will opt for void ..

I never said I wasn't corrupt. That I am pious or honest. But that doesn't mean I'll vote for someone just because he may be slightly better than me.
Fat chance though. MQM, PPP and PML-N are murderers. PTI is a traitor to the army and JUI and ANP are hypocrites.
