ISPR hasn't revised the casuality figure and keeping mum, that's why you didn't heard anything in mainstream media. Initial figure was 9 killed 7 injured in the attack. From where the Attackers get such a high level of planning/Training and weaponry? that they inflict such high losses on a trained organized army?

Thats why Pak army is reluctant in engaging a full war on them as the main thing that will stop the terrorists is their supply chain which comes from Afghanistan and to stop their training camps from operating..once again inside Afghanistan..

I was going to write the same as above . Putting News as Chopped Heads, or Be headed will get imediate attention and fear in people. This Tactis has been used long before as well and they still get the same attention and result to creat fear.

We are in a total war situation, hence no reason for the ISPR to show any figure discrepancy, the Talibans are well known to often claim false glory.....God forbid, had such an incident occurred, then they tend to release videos rather than just a statement.

safriz, TTP plays with the number game. These check posts usually have 20-40 soldiers and TTP attack these checkposts with 150-300 guys by circling the post from all sides. So that soldiers attention remain divided. PA is not American army where when american checkpost attacked they instantly send GPS coordinates back to main GHQ and within 15-20 minutes the get backup from airborne assessts like fighter jets and attack helicopters. Here Pakistani soldiers are own their own without any gadgets and only with Bullet proof jacket and a rifle and some soldiers on the checkpost and TTP usually attacks them in night and it takes time for Cobra to get airborne and identify and attack the location of miscreants since we dont have GPS coordination devices,cobra guys have to visually identify the enemies on ground once they reach the ambush site and it's the case if cobra by any chance is sent to ambush site but in this attack they werenot provided cobra backup and large number of enemies overwhelmed them.

PA is right 80 percent when they say afghan based TTP is causing trouble for them but there is a fact which is ignored many times. The forrests and mountain terrain between SWA and NWA, i think its called Shawal mountain areas. Thats where TTP leadrship is hiding. It's a dense forrest area and perfect hiding location for TTP and from there they are attacking troops in SWA.

The attack took place in Badar area of Sawarkai, S. Waziristan. A total of 9 soldiers embraced martyrdom while fighting and militants couldn't overrun the post, the attack was actually repulsed and 18+ TTP guys were sent to hell.

Hit back and hit back hard, I remember we used to keep a bullet extracted for ourselves in case of capture, looks like that trend is dying down. IMO it's best to die fighting when you know that the Geneva protocol doesn't mean **** to your opponent, run out of ammo, charge and beat the **** out of your enemy with your gun's but, then use your knife, fists, anything but NEVER be captured. An honourable death beats a life of misery followed by a disgraceful beheading. RIP to the Dead, Godspeed to their Avengers and Death to the Terrorist Scum.

There's a lot to improve on this side, actually. The incidents of terrorists capturing our soldiers alive have gone down to single figures in last 2-3 years. Mostly, it's always the FC guys, they are often caught alive by these bastards and then tortured, TTP thinks FC soldiers are easy to break and get info. and get them on their side. Now, what they do is, they get the bodies of martyred soldiers from the battle area, then behead them and record a video showing their heads. In short, Psy-Ops. Nothing else.
