Allama Iqbal is a vast ocean. I have tried to study him a lot. SAQI NAMA is my favourite poem and one thing I am sure about, If ALLAMA IQBAL comes back to life & see what ALI AZMAT & JUNOON has done with this poem in there video, he might thrash them all.
Anyhow I will recommend first studying QURAN & then move to IQBAL or even RUMI. A mistake I comitted

well if JUNOON hadn't made those songs i am sorry people like me would have never known what IQBAL was saying......so yes the song SAQI-NAMA and KHUDI made people like me realize the awesome prowess of IQBAL


as for QURAN well there is no disputing that reading QURAN is the most important thing a muslim should do.....but the problem is we all read the quran with our minds somewhere else.....

even when i read the traslation some of the things are hard to understand....IQBAL makes you intrested in islam....so islam se iqbal hai iqbal see islam nahi!!!

Thats why ALLAH mentions in QURAN to ask his guidance before reading it. Please read 3rd Surah Ayat 7 & 8. And QURAN is not meant for one time reading, its understanding improves with all levels of improvements in ones 'self'. I am not a scholar so I ask ALLAHs forgiveness if I am writing anything wrong. To recognize one's 'self is to recognize the faults within- a very hard & painful reality.
IQBAL's self or KHUDI = LA ILAHA ILLALAH. LA is denial of everything except GOD. Again a very hard road.

I agree with you brother. First studying the Quran with translation and then studying Iqbal is a very good way of understanding.

Allama Iqbal will always be alive in our lives and our children's and grandchildren's lives. His legacy will live on forever as he was the one who first thought of the idea of a Muslim nation in South Asia.

Also I'm glad a patriotic Pakistani like Zaid Hamid has become so famous among our neighboring country, we need more people like Zaid Hamid on TV.
