lol PAF pilot saw one indian aircraft violating Pakistani air space , no one knows at that time who was in ? what they were doing in Pakistani airspace ... having romantic dinner?

Great job by PAF pilot on order from ground staff after waiting for 4-5 mins , ground staff must have done something with in this 4-5 mins?

They knew it was a passenger aircraft. as a request for action had come from Flg Off Qais M Hussain stating the aircraft as a twin-engined, twin-tailed aircraft….with four side windows.

Airspace violation is not the term to be used for a civilian aircraft. I dont think such VIP's and that too our babu's would risk sitting in an aircraft which going to fly to a hostile airspace without proper call sign.

Me too. Although as I said prior to my arguments here that the attitude of the PAF pilot is worth an applause.

No one questioning his valor, but I'm sure that he was suffering from a guilty conscience when he found that the dead were all civilians, eventhough he just obeyed his superiors. He just wanted a clear conscience before he dies and hence this gesture.

On the otherhand PAF could have forced the Indian aircraft to land inside the Pakistani border, instead of just choosing to shoot it down when it was very clear that the aircraft was of civilian nature.

Thanks you are not understanding my point of view, but he just wrote the letter as media was creating wrong assumptions about this whole story and as fighter his like to put the facts right , and thats what he did.

from his later i can see he waited for 4-5 mins for ground staff order and he acted on that , within these 4-5 mins they must have pointed out the intentions of violating aircraft before given green signal of shots ....

Its imortant that our fighting forces remain 100% professional, then they remain human under their uniforms and armor. Then there is hope.

The incident has so much resemblance with Atlantic incident except for latter being an civilian aircraft and former was one with military commanders on board. But then these things do happen in wars. So there should be no regrets on either side except for that of lives that have been lost.
