every sensible air force keeps financial aspects in mind before going for any deal n so is the PAF.india has the probably the highest ratio of the population sleeping on the footpaths n still ur govt is going for one of the most expensive jets which can be challenged by any 4th gen air craft half of its cost so it seems foolish attitude on ur part
so this was unprofessionalism on Pakistans part?
i guess thats what the debate was about, what your army did BACK then as quoted by yourself, shows how capable India is to really DESTRY pakistan and bring us on our knees in 2 weeks!!
please, dont bring in that some COLD START DOCTRINE of yours, its BS, we/pakistani forces are not worried about that at alland any agressive advance will be met with equal aggression.
all we are losing at the moment is the war against Indian proxies in NWFP and Balochistan and rest of country, we are trying, and are hopeful that this will be tackled with, we have learnt our lessons from 1971 bangladesh war!
so please, come out of fools paradise. dont get the destroy the image of entire indian members group here on PDF< most of then are quite reasonable, learn!
Back then , there was 9/11 too ... If you seriously think , he was going to support extremism back then after taking part in WoT then you are dead wrong ... This had nothing to do with India-Pakistan standoff ... We know who blinked first back then ... Dont we ? ... Dismantling terror groups created by the 1980's war remained a top priority for PA , GOP and NATO ... Kashmir statement was nothing but for assuring the Intl Community ... Are you implying that there were no attacks on IA in Kashmir after 2002 ?... Or is it something sinister , The Kashmir policy was never changed
?
http://archives.dawn.com/2001/12/15/top1.htmPakistan said on Friday that India would pay a heavy price for any “misadventure” after Delhi accused Pakistan-based militant groups of mounting the suicide attack on its parliament.
Military spokesman Maj-Gen Rashid Qureshi said India would pay a heavy price for any “misadventure” following the attacks.
“India seems to be making efforts to create tension by blaming Pakistan,” he said. “India will pay heavily if they engage in any misadventure.”
Or something like this made you back away from the borders after spending billions ? Pick your choice ...

the discussion is becoming a generic argument between Indians and Pakistanis over everything but the subject.
