nearly all IDF A/F have been modfied to israeli standard AVIONICS & ECM ability rated even better than USA by some analysts..

Well, they might be the best air force but let's face they've faced noob pilots only so far with inferior equipment.Arabs pilots are not good..Now you put IDF against USAF or RAF/French Air Force/PAF and Indian Air Force with matching equipment and i am damn sure that these pilots will beat Israel Air Force Pilots.

Which is exactly what i am saying.The Arabs can't protect them self because they have inferior equipment and crappy pilots and anyways the Arabs are busy enjoying their Oil Money buying 7-8 Bugatti, Lamborghini just for enjoyment!

There is no question that Israel has an excellent air force with awesome fire power. They have developed amazing indigenous technology considering the size of there country. But i still wont call them the second best air force in the world. I believe that Russia still has a better air force and China is fast catching up. In case of the French and British Air Force, they have the technology that is superior to Israel but they are not adding huge number of fighter aircrafts to there inventory because they are not threatened by any neighbouring country.

The French have a good air force with 250 mirage 2000 and around 50 rafael

But they don,t match israel for electronics Awacs sams etc.#

And can those mirage/rafael live with 450 f16/f15...

As for UK.

As for Russia.

YES MAY BE OVER POWER ISRAEL WTH mig31/29 & su27/30/35.

BUT not certain i think israel will match them too

Lets give the credit where its due my friend. In the 60's and 70's, Israel and the Arabs had equipment which was almost equivalent to each other. The Israelis were using American equipment and the Arabs were using Soviet equipment. Isreal still managed to gain air supremacy, the quality of there pilots and training is far superior to the Arabs. In present; now its a totally different story, the Israelis have left the rest of the Arab world far behind and no country in this world can dare challenge the Israelis.

As i said before, the French and the British dont feel a need to build a strong air force. They are surrounded by friendly countries, there borders are secured and that is why they spend only a small portion of there gdp on defence. On the other hand Israel is surrounded by Arab countries and they need a strong air force for there survival. If the French and British start devoting huge portions of there GDP toward there air force, it wont really take them that long to overtake Israel. Keep in mind that Israel is a very small country and it would be impossible for them to compete with French or British. As far as Russia is concerned, there is no way Israel can match them in an air war. Russians have some of the world's most lethal air planes(Su34, Mig29SM, SU35, SU30) in their inventory, not to mention the quality of SAMS(S300 and S400) and AWACS(A50) they can deploy. Russian Air Force might not be as strong as the Soviet Air Force, but it is still the world's second most powerful air force.

I think you just answered the question yourself, they are very hard working people. Israel has the highest engineers, doctors, scientists etc per capita in the world. I am not saying that Israel's Air Force is the second best in the world, but they certinely are a force to be reckoned with. As far as the aircrafts are concerened, the Soviets and American aircrafts during the cold war were always on par with each other. During the Six Day War and Yom Kippur War, the Arabs were armed with advanced versions of Mig's. But in the end, it comes down to the quality of pilots and Israel had better pilots. While the Arabs are wasting there oil money, Isreal is investing money in improving the lives of their citizens. China will have a better air force than Israel in the next 10 years my friend; with the addition of J11, J10, AWACS and JXX the Chinese Air Force will be a force to be reckoned with.

I agree with you.Israel won because they're hard working people and actually use their brains unlike their Arab counterparts.I think i read Sir Murad post that during Egypt war the pilots were actually sitting in PM Mehal and eating instead of flying airplanes

That extremely impressive Air force with top of the line F16Is specially made for the Israelis there are very few countries who could challenge Israelis in an Air force combat especially with the quality of fire power they have.

They have goodies, but they are hardly the second best. I would say they are better than the Indian Air Force for sure as the PAF pilots say.
