    Abrahams failed in the desert

    Not a chance

May be the $10m price tag

    ANY WAY

T99 of china costs $3m each

INDIA currently has 170 Arjuns + with orders totalling 496 in total for mark 1 & mk2

Heavey tanks will feature in a future WAR

I think the T99 looks formidable

Current Pakistan is fielding MEDUIM 40 TONNE tanks alone

    in Al zarrer (upgraded T59)

    T85

    And lately the AL KHALIDS

They are all in similiar weight catagory

Indians ARE PAYING NEARLY $7M EACH FOR ARJUN (496 tanks) and only $3.5m each for 1650 T90..

Excecises proved heavey armoured tanks can be devasting in a future 21st century battlefield

so you mean that lighter tanks are useless against heavier tanks

i dont want to go further in detail bt to tell you that

your mk2 of arjun which is to be mass produced is still 4 years away means 2015.

and we are developing al khalid II...which include 1500hp engine as main upgrade.and you might have also heared that over powered engine can be disastoruos to the tank e.g the racks can be seperated with over speed.

so to keep a balance ratio with 1500hp engine the weight of the al khalid II will increase atleast to 55-57tons.which is more than enough

the current weight of al khalid is 48 ton and the al khalid I which is more than 50% upgraded basic al khalid..will weight even more though the weight of al khalid I is still not known only the specs and the upgrade are

so we are developing a al khalid II with modified turret like type 99 one,1500 engine, indegenous aps and indegenous more components e.g a indegenous main gun which is also in use in the al khalid I

and about your arjun...sorry no offence bt your arjun is already rejected by your army and your army accepted the t-90(which means the t-90 is ebtter than the arjun for sure beside its light weight)and the al khalid I is definately better than your any variant of t-90(note i said the al khalid I)

and one more thing your development are prone to delays and we are always ahead than schedule

so mark the induction date of arjun mk2 from 2015 -2017-18.and for al khalid II max 2015.

the al khalid II will be a new tank with only old name..

so i think ebtter think about your tanks upgradation and procurements plan than ours

    thanks

    regards
    Farhan KhaN

some people are really well informed here like you

Zia died in a plane crash on August 17, 1988. After witnessing a US M1 Abrams tank demonstration in Bahawalpur, Zia had left the small town in the Punjab province by C-130 Hercules aircraft. Shortly after a smooth takeoff, the control tower lost contact with the aircraft . Its unforgettable day for any Pakistani so please no rants my dear kids
    PWFI and K-Xeroid thanked this.
