1.The badge used on the officers' Pee-cap is different from that worn on berets. This is an unique feature in this Regt. None other has this feature. The Pee-cap badge is a maroon half sphere jutting out with a star placed on it. Would be great if somebody could paste an image.

    2. There is a history of valor behind this. In one of the battles a bn of the regt suffered heavy casualty with many personnel receiving sabre cuts on the face. With blood oozing out and flesh out, the bn fought on and captured the objective. To remember this feat of courage and indomitable spirit, the officers' cap badge has been shaped like this. I am sorry I do not remember the dates and other details, but some Baloch officers here would know.

    3. Those are the stories of the time when the Regt was fighting for the colonial masters as part of nimak halali. Never the less they are celebrated for the heroic deeds of soldiers who fight for the honor of the team they belong to - the Regt. In a free country the Regt would have gathered more tales of heroism. It is part of a national army defending the nation's ideology, faith, values, goals as well as the people and the territory. I pray for the Balochis and wish them victory always.

Your prayers for the Balochs are much appreciated, but can you tell how many Balochs are there in the Baloch regiment?

Its called Peaked Cap and not pee- cap. Often refered to as peak cap.

A peaked cap, forage cap, barracks cover, or combination cap is a form of headgear worn by the armed forces of many nations and also by many uniformed civilian organizations such as law enforcement agencies.

The cap has a crown, a band, and a peak (British English) or visor (American English). The peak or visor is short, historically made of leather, or in newer caps may be a shiny plastic. Sometimes it is covered in fabric and may be adorned with embroidered ornamentation.

There are other regiments outside Pak who wear different badges on peaked Caps & berets.

A Baloch Regiment will not necessarily mean that all of its soldiers are from Balochistan. In order to keep uniformity and certain other reasons the class composition of every unit varies from regiment to regiment. Atleast two different classes are there in any unit e.g. AK + Pukhtoon or Punjabi + Sindhi, Balochi + Punjabi etc etc.

Though the class composition is usually kept secret but ISPR did once reveal it:
Information Brief by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR)

Also, Balochi strength has increased manifold since the Army has started its enrollment drive in Balochistan, there are many threads about it:

I know it, which was actually quite obvious to see in my post. I think asad71 probably thinks that the Baloch regiment is thoroughly comprised of Balochs, at least I came to this conclusion after reading his posts. I know that the Baloch regiment is as related to the Balochs as the army of Indus was to the people of Indus.

^^ There is no need to draw vague analogies - You are again wrong.

Because Baloch regiment doesn't mean only Baloch would be part of that regiment. Just like there are guys from KPK who are serving with Sindh Regiment and there are soldiers from Sindh who might be serving with Baloch regiment. You should have known that.

Read the posts of Asad71. The way he talking about he Baloch Regiment insinuate as if only Balochs are recruited in the Baloch Regiment, which is of course not true. That is why I asked him about the number of Balochs in the Baloch Regiment.

^^ There is no need to draw vague analogies - You are again wrong.
The Indus Army was mainly composed of the non-Indus people and the Balochs make up only a small proportion of the Baloch Regiment.
