All we need is a reason... No need of going that far, 1974 Cyprus battle may give you an opinion.

One thing i didn't understood why did turkey stopped in 74 you People should have gained control over the entire Cyprus.Why leave the part of it?And look now you are being blackmailed by the same Cyprus courtesy of EU.

Bro, I think We do not have an ambitious aim to re-gain or take control of other countries independance to create a new empire. All those technological steps are to protect our nation's freedom, honour and values forever and provide aversiveness enough against enemies. Oh the Problem is look at the problems of Balkans.I mean they keep fighting each other and their are Muslim and ethnic Massacres occurring.Only under the rule of Ottoman Sultanate the Balkans enjoyed a period of Stability and Prosperity.And look at those Greeks i somewhere read in an article that Greece has been Bankrupt half of the time since it's Independence.Although this time the Bankruptcy is very severe.

Because of international pressures. Our government can not stand enough against pressures to take control of entire Cyprus. Even Russia had threaten us to go to a war against Turkey If We invade Cyrpus but Result !!!

The Balkan should not only be one concern of Turkey. We also need to Protect our Brothers n Azerbaijan which were slaughterd by Armenian during the Armenian - Azerbaijan War.

In Long Term Turkey should seek close Military, Economic and Politic Relations to all turkish Brothers States in Central Asia, including Pakistan which can Play an Important Role for these Countries as Energy Hub. All these mentioned States together should protect all of our interest between Balkan and Indian Subcontinent.

Greek Cypriot attacked on civilian Turks living in Cyprus for Enosis (Enosis refers to the movement of the Greek-Cypriot population to incorporate the island of entire Cyprus into Greece ) and Turkey did not let them to kill our civilian population and gave them what they deserved !!!

Turkey has bases in albania and stuff..
but if greeks weren't in the balkans..
