Exactly...Security forces already have more than enough to do..
Pakistan can do away with a few charities leaving the country...That will free up some resources for security forces to be deployed elsewhere..

First thing Pakistan is not Africa.....Even in UK their NHS is full of Pakistani doctors and medical professionals and we do have a large number of Doctors at home who can be employed by Foreign Charity organization instead of Bringing in Mr.John who will be a target for criminals who will want to abduct him for ransom....If Red Cross want to promote Christian stance and image in Pakistan, they can employ Pakistani christian Doctors.plenty available...Or bringing non Caucasian Christians from abroad..But thats not their point..never has been..Their donors have demands and that demand is that they have to work to improve the "West's image" on Pakistanis..that's why they bring in "show pieces"..
Good to hear about your fortunes. I hope your left hand doesn't know what our right hand gives away.

What do you know about Africa? Ever been there? I have, worked for a NGO in Economic Development in Somalia, Kenya, and Sudan. Some cities are alot better than their counterparts in Pakistan. Much more planned development.

The Red Cross is not a missionary preaching group. If the International Red Crescent was more active the Red Cross wouldn't have to be in Pakistan.

Of those thousands of unemployed "Doctors" how many have passed the medical qualifications? And how many tries did it take for them to pass the medical exams? You think some International NGOs is going to spend hard earned money they collected based on their reputation to some second-class doctor? The NGOs know the dangers of operating in the country, but their employees take the risk to help people. Its a pity you didnt feel sorrow for the lost of a kind helping person.

i am from the city of Ayyub Medical college and dont we have thousands of unemployed doctors in Pakistan..Looking at current security situation, these charities should employ locals than bringing in Foreigners.
    I agree 99.9%

I was discussing the same with a Doctor few days ago and he said the profession of dr. will suffer because we are producing more dr's then we can handle. (he said " kuch time k baad dr. ke kia izzat ho ge jab marezon say ziada dr. hon gay)

@ Safriz, we do have enough doctors at home. Now we have a decent amount of specialists as well. I think some people have no idea what they are talking about.

Almost every person in my family and extended family, male or female is a doctor or in the medical profession.

This is just awful- people who have come to do nothing but good being targeted by these SCUM and they call these guys infidels?!!

Hopefully GoP can provide these guys with adequate protection (which they should have done all along) so these good people can resume their thankless work.

At times it is only logical to accept ground realities and act accordingly ...
Pakistan cannot provide protection to Just about any monk/padre/priest/mullah who enters the country.
Red Cross has taken good decision but only after a big loss...They should have done it much earlier...

ISLAMABAD: The Red Cross says it has suspended operations in two of Pakistan’s largest cities following the killing of a British nurse working for the group in the country.

The body of Khalil Rasjed Dale, 60, was dumped close to the southwestern city of Quetta on April 29. He was kidnapped in the city in January.

In a statement Thursday, the International Committee of the Red Cross said it was suspending humanitarian activities in the northwestern city of Peshawar and port city of Karachi.

The organisation has already stopped work in Quetta and surrounding Balochistan province.

The ICRC has been performing humanitarian work in Pakistan since 1947.

We need to shut down the operation of all NGO's in Pakistan. All NGO's in Pakistan are nothing but FRONT organizations for CIA and MI6. We don't need these NGO's.

NGO's have become the " DEN of SPIES " the World over. The best thing any country can do for itself is to kick out all of these WESTERN NGO's because they are nothing but a FRONT for Foreign Intelligence agencies.
