200 foreigners arrested in Karachi raids

KARACHI: Karachi Police has arrested and registered cases against 200 foreigners for violation of Foreign Act during last 24-hours.

According to sources, under the directions of high-level Police officials raids were carried out in various areas of Karachi including Bufferzone, Sohrab Goth, Surjani Town, Malir, Quaidabad, Banaras and SITE.

Seven foreigners have also been arrested from a Mosque and Madarsa in Bufferzone, the sources added.

Who are these guys? The normal - 'came to see relatives, visa expired, stayed on' types or others with meschief in mind? Karachi is an important commercial hub of south Asia. These places do attract unsavoury characters. Moreover, Karachi, like Mumbai is on the smuggling highway. Plus the mob connection with Dawood. A heady combination.

From the places of arrest mentioned, most of them are Afghans

Waste of time...Karachi has many more Afghans,Bangladeshi,Nepalis,Central Asian republics, Indians etc etc...so its all non sense. Saw on TV, all poor daily labor people.
