Ali, of Geo Television, who also files for the Washington Post, has been reporting on the Taliban, Al Qaeda and extremism in the tribal region along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and the NWFP. “Imtiaz Ali’s dangerous work brings to light events unfolding on the frontline of the war on terror,” the citation says.
The Yale World Fellows Programme aims to build a worldwide network of emerging leaders and to broaden international understanding.
