Default 15 injured in Pakistan car bombing

15 injured in Pakistan car bombing

At least 15 people were injured in a car bomb attack near a stadium in the restive Khyber tribal region of northwest Pakistan on Sunday.

The bomb was detonated by remote control near the stadium in Jamrud, one of the main towns of Khyber tribal agency, an official, Jamil Ahmad, told reporters.

The car was parked at a workshop in a busy market. Some officials said the attackers may have intended to target the stadium, where a religious party was scheduled to hold a rally tomorrow.

Footage on television showed several cars were destroyed by the explosion. No group claimed responsibility for the attack though authorities usually blame militants for such incidents.

The Khyber tribal agency, which borders Afghanistan, was a key supply route for NATO forces in the war-torn country. The supply routes for foreign troops were closed by the government here in November, when a cross-border NATO air
    strike killed 24 Pakistani soldiers.

Hope Pakistan is able to get rid of terrorists in the near future so as to save its own nationals.

    1) NATO supplies have not been resumed so far.
    2) Not like the Taliban agreed to cease attacks in Pakistan when NATO supplies were suspended.
    3) Why drag the army in every post, not like this is their call, the GoP wants to resume supplies or not that's their call, the military isn't a stakeholder in either cases.

I read it over again, and I still missed the part where a Pakistani 'Official' pressed the remote that caused the explosion, if you could only point it out for me.

If Pakistan wants it can eradicate terrorism in Pakistan. It's just that the government it has to ask America for everything they do. Pakistan government has no respect for their people who are dying everyday, all they care about is dollars in their pocket. After they finish their term in office they run away to UK or somewhere.

That happens to be one of the most paradoxical statements that I have read on this forum thus far. How can 'Pakistan' (I'm not sure if you mean the GoP, the Army or both) eradicate terrorism if they want to? Do say "Pretty Please" and the terrorists go home? A full-blown insurgency takes well over 2 decades to put down, we did it in less than half a decade, that is an achievement to behold, the pockets of resistance will obviously try to forward their agenda, however, the falling frequency of attacks as well as their decreasing effectiveness are a testament to our success.

The Pakistani people were not the target of Taliban, it's only after Musharraf (under the command of GW. Bush) joined the so called 'War on Terror'. Now they are taking revenge on the people for the Army killing their people. Also, kick all these damn American agencies out of Pakistan (blackwater etc). They are spying on you, not protecting you. There number one objective is to find the location of Pakistani nuclear weapons...

Technically speaking, they started it. The first Suicide Bomber struck in 2002. The first Op against the Miscreants was started in 2004, that too was only a cordon and search and the first active Op started in August 2008. So your argument is flawed.

Now they are taking revenge on the people for the Army killing their people.
They killed our people, bombed our market, bombed our schools. Should the Army just have pretended they weren't there?

    1) If you did any research, you would know that Blackwater was dissolved after the Falujjah Episode, how can a party that does not exist threaten our sovereignty ?
    2) Blackwater was a PMC, they lacked the manpower, firepower, acess, and intel network to come close to our nuclear facilities.
    3) If that was their goal then the Americans are dumber than I thought, anyone with an internet connection and google earth can find our nuclear power plants.

No, no, not the Nuclear power plants, of course all you need is google maps for that. Pakistan obviously has some hidden and secret places, every country does. Once America finds out the location of every nuclear weapon you have, watch how they back stab you and invade the country to seize the nukes.

You do realize that the nukes are kept in no one place and it is technically impossible to know the location of each and everyone of them.

Yes I know. I have also been told that Pakistan keeps its nukes moving constantly around the the country so it is extremely hard to find the location of all of them.

And they are dismantled, so to complete a usable nuclear warhead you need to know the location of at least three locations and then you need the clearance from the President, Chief of Joint Staff, Chief SPD possibly others, to launch.
