39 brilliant students who had topped the Matriculation, FA/FSC and BA/BSC examinations took off for Europe last night. Chief Minister Punjab since 2008 had decided that all Ministers, MNAs and MPAs including himself would pay for all foreign visits from their personal pockets, and the Government of Punjab would bear the expense of sending brilliant students to Europe to visit some of the top universities of the world. These students would be arriving in UK today where they would be visiting universities like Oxford, Cambridge and University College London. From UK, these shining stars would then fly to Germany where they will visit various world class universities including Heidelberg University. The students will also visit Turkey and besides educational tours will be taken on sightseeing trips as well. Like last time, toppers from Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilit Baltistan have also been sent on this visit by the Punjab Government. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif saw the students off at Allama Iqbal International Airport last night.

These toppers from all over Pakistan visited House of Lords at the Palace of Westminster where they were presented gold medals by Lord Nazeer Ahmed and Lord Qurban Hussain. These shining stars also visited King's College where they were given a presentation by Professor Joanna Williams. The students are gaining great exposure and will soon be travelling to Germany.
