I have a Hijri Calendar software that is as accurate as clock work with previous dates from the past stored with double accuracy. It says about 14th of August, 1947:

"Thursday, the 27th of Ramadhan, 1366 Hijra.

Does that matter?

You need to check this even geographically since the calendar usually is one day behind in Pakistan...

According to this convertor, 14th August is correct. Going so far back, you can't rely on such tools.
