Eight-year-old girl kidnapped, raped in Karachi

KARACHI: An eight-year-old girl and a student of class-two was kidnapped, raped and dumped at a railway track in Karachi on Wednesday. Officials said she is a resident of Musa Colony.
According to details, an unknown bike rider abducted the eight-year-old Tayyaba from the school gate. The sister of Tayyaba informed her parents about the abduction.
The victim said that she was was tied with rope, whipped, tortured with baton and then raped, a private TV channel reported.
The mother of the victim appealed to the president and Chief Justice of Pakistan for the arrest of the alleged rapist and a swift provision of justice.
The Medico Legal Officer (MLO) Dr. Yasmeen Qamar at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital has ascertained that the girl had been torture and raped.
Soon after the incident, a large number of the people from the area gathered at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and demanded that the Sindh government constitute a special team for the investigation of the incident. The father of the girl has lodged an FIR with Sharifabad Police station. -Online
