i can only smile on the bold part. for rest lets see how the world shapes as its not as simple as you have narrated.

we have a good relationship with them, but obviously not as strong as that with the hindustanis....

we don't need to be on everyone's best friend list. In certain sectors of economy or elsewhere we can always gain from eachother. Both countries have an interest to promote counter-terrorism and trans-national security.

    whatever happened in past happened

"we don't need to be on everyone's best friend list." Rephrase it--Not every country wants to be your friend. The way your politicians and generals are acting, China will also abandon you. Your army's F 16 obsession and sold hukamran have ruined Pakistan. Yeah, if Russia offers a trillion dollar, that will be a different story. It would be nice to see that belly dance of generals and politicians.

do some Pakistanis really believe Russia will **** India off for Pakistan they are living in a dream world and will wake up to a rude shock .

china one still can understand but no way for Pakistan .

Plus Russia and US ties have also improved a lot and Russia has no problems with India's relations with US .

All in all future of Pak-russia relations will remain very limited . you guys have no one else but China to bank upon . Stick with them .

with relations with two of Russia's rivals ( U.S and China ) , Pakistan will have to sacrifice a lot or at least make several other concessions to be on Russia's favoured list . Even if the India factor was set aside , still geo-politically Pakistan and Russia have little in the way of common interests.

    1. as some Indians are saying Russia and US are now all goody goody so either your that claim is wrong or otherwise.

    2. China isnt any rival to Russia . they are cooperating and seems in future its going to be deepened .

    3. Geo politically Russia and Pakistan plus Iran, Afghanistan can benefit alot also at the same time they can keep US at bay (if Russia wants that then its a perfect equation) not only for peace but also for development of the region.

China can also join in and its a stronger group that can work towards benefit of all.

Why are you Indians getting offended unnecessarily . you are nobody to ask us or for that matter anyone to stick this and that country.

Russia and Pakistan are two sovereign countries and both will act in their own interests.

If Russia sees greater interests in engaging with Pakistan then they will go for it if NOT then they wont. its as simple as that. similar for us

I think India needs to respect Russia more. They have the rights to deal with other countries just like India does. The world doesn't revolve around India you know? Right now the concern for the emerging developing countries is America and its western allies movement in the middle east and northern parts of Africa. It will not surprise me to see a better Russo-Pakistan relationship. Besides Pakistan is only a touching distance away from becoming a member of the SCO. Is India willing to stick its neck out that far and **** off the Americans should be the next question. If it is in the interest of India to bring war into Asia and by supporting the U.S role in Pakistan, then it is not doing China, Russia and rest of Asia any favours.

the only thing is economics and money..if u have then whole world is under ur feet..if not then vice versa...
and kids here have to realize that, not an single engine can change the whole process, when multi billions specially more than 40 billion dollars at the stake...selling engine is different and come strategically to protect others in different one..
and with the time, russia is loosing their influence as i told above economy rules..
