Saudi national arrested in Kashmir
Friday, May 09, 2008 12:44 [IST] Srinagar: A Saudi national has been arrested from Jammu and Kashmir's frontier district of Kupwara, police said here. Noorul Haq Hussain was nabbed by the army on Thursday during a routine check at Karnah, 150 km from here near the Line of Control (LoC) that divides Kashmir between India and Pakistan, and handed over to state police for investigations. Foreigners travelling to border areas in the state need prior permission from authorities here. "During questioning Haq claimed he had lost his passport and other travel documents. We are now ascertaining the facts and investigations are going on," said a police official. Haq apparently told police that he was in Kupwara to meet friends. United,
You are amusing. I served there. I would prefer not to go there since it is so desolate. It is as desolate as there being you and the lovely breeze with the excellent scent of the pines! Now, if he went there he must be a a nature lover and an environmentalist loving to whiff in pure ozone!! If he were a Pakistani Kashmiri, it would be understandable. But a Saudi? Unless of course he was a door to door salesman of Islamic Wahhabi literature!! As far as your keys are concerned, I could say that you stuffed it up somewhere and now it must be smelling awful! Do quit being a smart Aleck! Fondest regards! |

A good plan, violently executed now, is better than a perfect plan next week.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived. George S.Patton |

![]() After all there are almost a 100,000 Pakistani Kashmiris with UK citizenship alone, is it really impossible for someone from the area to have acquired Saudi citizenship?

Saudis with Pakistani or Kashmiri origin.
Why? Paksitan or Kashmir not good enough for such people? Taking a UK residency is understandable. They want a better life than what they had in their country of origin. But Saudi Arabia? |

If he is a Saudi national, he cannot be a Pakistani national. Or could he?
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia has dual nationality? Living in a country does not make one a national or citizen of that country, or does it? Thank you for calling me a visionary! |

Rightly said Moha. The Police in India and Pakistan are very corrupt and in-efficient. It will be to easy for them to frame an innocent outsider for crimes they can't solve. Regards

In Pakistan, if I come for a visit, do I not have to write in the Emigration forms where I have to go? Or once in Pakistan, I can roam around at will and visit NWFP?
