It proves that Haqqani group is NOT at war with Pakistan so Pakistan doesn't need one more enemy in tribal region. Gen. Asif statement is manifestation of principle stance of Pakistan that an action would be taken against Haqqani group IF they carry out terrorism in Pakistan. Securing and maintaining peace in Afghanistan or elsewhere in the world is not Pakistan's responsibility.

So mean to say that Pakistan is okay with them if they do not attack Pakistani force. PA at mercy of these groups?

Then what if NATO invades N.W? You stil believes N.W is a part of Pakistan?

This reeks conspiracy. Entire interview is about his role in Pakistan and the support he gets from ISI. Of course, even if he is getting the support from ISI he would deny it. Can anyone think otherwise?
