It is public that Bush signed a special order authorising attacks in sovereign Pakistan. It is a gross violation of international law, UN laws, EU laws and understandings between US, Pakistan, Afghanistan and NATO member states backed by EU. It is therefore time that Islamabad registers a case against Bush in International Court of Justice, for authorising killing of innocent Pakistanis. It is war crime. Bush’s presidential immunity does not go beyond American borders and rest of the world is run in accordance to international law not American constitution etc. It is hoped that powerful international human rights groups will have the moral courage stand up to support plight of hapless victims in third world countries ruthlessly being killed by American forces through indiscriminate use of force in the name of so-called war against terrorism. It is about time Europe leaders implement EU laws to impose military and diplomatic sanctions against Bush, US military personnel and administration in line with EU travel ban on Israeli military personnel involved in gross human rights and international law violations. Islamabad should also set production of Bush before ICJ as one of the pre-conditions to support international peace efforts in Afghanistan.

Moscow, Beijing, UN, EU, ASEAN, SCO, OIC and other international and regional platforms are morally and legally bound to ban US military commanders and political team for executing Bush’s illegal policies in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Georgia, which have resulted in war crimes against humanity including innocent deaths. The writ of international law should also be extended to supporters of Bush including British PM, French president and German Chancellor who are equally responsible for their failure to keep Bush from respecting international law including indiscriminate use of force against innocent civilians including women and children. The continuation of attacks on Pakistan’s territory despite Army chief’s statement supported by PM resulting in innocent deaths shows that Washington has no regard for country’s sovereignty, people of Pakistan and international law. Islamabad should therefore uphold principle of Pakistan first and immediately withdraw its land, sea and air support for US lead NATO forces in Afghanistan including fuel transport, air bases, use of airspace and transit facilities. Islamabad should make diplomatic, economic, trade and transit support to Kabul conditional to its policies towards Pakistan. Karzai cannot continue enjoying all these facilities including food security from Pakistan while it allows use of Afghan soil by US forces to attack Pakistan resulting in violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and death of innocent people.

Islamabad with help of international community should immediately fence critical areas on Pak-Afghan border to end blame game that Pakistan is a safe haven for indigenous Afghan resistance against occupation forces. Pakistan alone cannot fence area that is equivalent to distance between London and Moscow. The insulation of border will expose evil designs of Washington and western capitals that instead of extending financial and technical support to fence the Pak-Afghan border are using Pakistan’s financial limitations to secure their geo-strategic, political and election interests.Karzai will have to choose between growing influence of Indian consulates on eastern borders of Afghanistan and ties with Pakistan. India is a sworn enemy of Pakistan. Karzi by allowing freehand to India in Afghanistan including alleged induction of en-mass Indian forces backed by Israeli support in Afghan theater leaves little doubt in mind of average Pakistani that wittingly or unwittingly Karzai is undermining Pakistan’s cardinal security interests. Similarly, Kabul is systematically undermining relations between Pakistani and Afghan brethrens to appease the infidel occupiers and their supporters. In case Kabul fails to address Islamabad’s legitimate national security concerns based on international law including use of Afghan soil against Pakistan, Islamabad has every right of use of force to protect its national security objectives and people. The world instead of underestimate Pakistan should focus on the number of failed clandestine American in Asia, ME including Somalia, Lebanon and Iran because they lacked support American public. Bush’s latest criminal acts lacking approval of US Congress and American public will not yield desired results, either. Hopefully, sense will prevail in US and American lawmakers, public and leadership will push Bush to cease forthwith illegal and indiscriminate use of brute military power to save further loss of innocent lives in Pakistan and Afghanistan. It is also hoped that American lawmakers and public in step with international law will let diplomacy not military power resolve the issues. International community has already dubbed US attacks as counterproductive in restoring peace and wining battle of hearts and minds in the Afghanistan.

Pakistan is not the only country that is facing violation of its territorial integrity and bilateral and multilaterals understandings with US. Reportedly Manila is also probing US troops’ role in Mindanao (Sept. 7, 2008 Arab News). Allegedly, the American troops present in Philippines for training (of local army) joined local forces in combat operations against rebels. Zamboanga City Mayor Dalipe questioned US forces over stay in the city. Govt.’s justification of continued stay of American forces in Mindanao under Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) and Mutual Defense Treaty (MDT) between both countries has been criticized amidst public protests. Reportedly, US has also failed to vacate US military bases in Japan despite repeated strong protests by the local population and Tokyo itself. It is hoped that Islamabad will avoid adopting recommendations similar to VFA and MDT, which allow indefinite occupation of host territories to protect Pakistan’s core national interests. The developed world is using war against terror in Third World countries to secure (its) economic, trade and geo-strategic interests. VFA and MDT will most likely be part of West’s ‘new strategy’ being peddled by British PM Brown as panacea to end indigenous Afghan resistance against occupation forces. The expulsion of US diplomats from Bolivia and Venezuela reflects growing distrust in developed world’s flawed foreign policies supporting undemocratic change of regimes in developing nations to protect and force implementation of capitalism resulting in impoverished disease infested jobless nations.

Muslim brethren, OIC and GCC should stand up to protect and support Pakistan for collective interests of Muslims ummah. The lukewarm response of Indian govt. to flood in Indian State of Bihar with Muslim population and indiscriminate use of force Muslim majority Indian held Kashmir show true fate of minorities in democratic India. West including America’s failure to protest killings of Christians to save Indo-US nuclear deal shows their double standards. It is also true for blatant violation of international laws in terms of illegal continuation of Gaza blockade, unlawful expansion of Israeli settlements in West Bank, Palestinians living in apartheid like conditions and fate of Chechens under repressive Russian regime. Similarly west’s support for Georgia and Kosovo shows that where there is a will there is a way. Pakistani leadership is facing enormous challenges in which on one hand it has to protect the sovereignty and life of public against forces that are much powerful and organized and on the other hand, they have to use geo-strategic assets including support of regional powers to protect and sustain its economy, security and energy interests. Finally, it is hoped that country’s leadership will put Pakistan first to protect national interests including nuclear program for the good of the people, country and the Muslim Ummah at large. The support of global community including regional powers, international platforms and Muslim world for Pakistan at this stage will help restore peace in the region, end West’s onslaught over developing world and allow Pakistan and rest of the Muslim world to secure their energy, economic and geo-strategic interests in a free world just like the West can protect its interests.
