Pakistan Military Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Sri Lanka

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee in Pakistan, General Khalid Shameem Wynne, NI(M), paid a courtesy call to Sri Lankan Secretary of Defence Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa this afternoon (March 19th), at the Ministry of Defence.

During the meeting, a cordial discussion was held between the Secretary Defence and General Khalid Shameem Wynne, NI(M) on matters of bilateral interest.

Both officials exchanged mementos to mark the occasion.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan calls on the Commander of Sri Lanka Air force

General Khalid Shameem Wynne NI(M), the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan, who is currently in Sri Lanka along with a delegation on a 5-day official visit, called on the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama, at the Air Force Headquarters this afternoon; 19 March 2012.

The two leaders engaged in a discussion on matters of professional interest and exchanged mementos to mark this special occasion.

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan calls on Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan General Khalid Shameem Wynne called on the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake at the Naval Headquarters on 19th March 2012.

On his arrival, General Wynne was accorded a Guard of Honour and was warmly received by the Commander of the Navy. They held brief discussions on matters of mutual interest and bilateral importance. Mementos were exchanged between them as a gesture of goodwill.

General Wynne is in Sri Lanka on a five-day official visit from 18th to 22nd March.
