Tell America to stop asking Pakistan for the supply route then.

Do you work for U.S. government or military?

Not denying Pakistan being Islamic republic, wouldn't it be easier for you to simply type Pakistan?

@TOPIC - Now, this is pathetic. USA cannot act like dictators. Pakistan has the right to keep the lines open or closed. You cannot force it by economic sanctions. Economic sanctions should not be used like BLACKMAILING tool.

The defence minister, however, said that the government should soften its stance over the issue because the international community was pondering to slap economic sanctions over Pakistan if NATO supply routes were not opened at the earliest.
This is rubbish! No one is going to slap any economic sanctions on Pakistan! This is just a convenient excuse for public consumption by the government to get the routes opened under American pressure.

'American pressure' means that the payments due to Pakistan amounting to approx $2.5 billion would be withheld till the route is opened. And the government, lurching from one crises to the other is in desperate need to get hold of the balance of payments due from the Coalition Support Funds of the US of A.

Pakistan's Defence Minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar said on Sunday that if Pakistan does not open NATO supply routes, it will have to face wrath of the international community. He said that Pakistan will be slapped with the toughest economic sanctions if it does not change its stance over the NATO supply routes.
Classic case of Pakistani army pimping the nation for dollars!

Closing the route is a decision of Pakistani democratic government - and US must respect democratic wishes.

Pakistan should open supply routes IMHO.It is too dangerous to play a game of Russian Roulette with US.Besides blocking supply routes is only giving ammunition to anti Pakistan people.I see no benefit whatsoever of angering US just for the sake of Afghanistan..US is our 1st trade partner. Our vital interests are our strategic weapons and our country's security. Not some sh!tty tribal group of some country.

Our establishment will never care for the sentiments of the people of Pakistan. they only need something to fill their mouth. if they get there share they will give every thing possible to satisfy their lords in Nato, Usa. so i dont hope any thing good from our Army, or politicians in future either.
they will open the routs but they probably are negotiating about the price to sell the blood of Jawans killed at salala.

Perhaps because Pakistan is perceived to be more credible option, the most Pakistan won't expect much, i.e not much of a trade off

If its Russia, Russians will take advantage of it, NATO will have to make more trade-offs, ex: Georgia.

Maybe if U.S. started bombing the place where "Patriot" has his family living at, then his opinion might change.

This is a good chance for Pakistan to move towards Russia and Iran. We've missed a lot of opportunities, but really this time there are Russian officials travelling around in Pakistan nowadays and we've just inked a multi billion dollar trade deal with Iran (avoiding U.S concerns)....

Bro, do you have any idea of 'ground realities' of this world? And stop using the world Inshallah for these kinds of silly assertions.
