Pakistan can do this. However, it would be silly to expect india to follow suit.
We have had some very bitter experiences with Pakistani citizens coming into India without a visa.

pakistan can confidently do this, because india doesnt do hanky panky in pak. but india cant do it because 1. happy days for terrorists. 2. 80% of Pakistan will migrate to secular and democrativ india illegally
Not just him, all political parties in Pakistan are softening their stand on India. Not too long ago, India bashing was an easy tool and was essential to stay in power for parties. But now that position has been taken over by the US, and Pakistani democracy is maturing somewhat. He is a little more vocal, but other than the radical few (also misrepresented on this forum), most parties want to be on peaceful terms with us. Given that they all have vote banks to worry about, I wonder if that is the actual mood among the average Pakistani people. Hard to believe given my time on this forum, but I also realize this place is filled with anonymous internet warriors.
The simple solution to this would be to stop oppressing minorities.
But it's always the minorities fault to be oppressed right?
actually most of Pakistan wan't peace with India. It is the warmongering Indians who do not want peace.
Proff of this is the initiative Musharraf took to bring peace. He did everything in his power to talk to India about peace, but India was not interested and simply ignored him.
I am sure, even if Pakistan relaxes Visa for Indians, India would not relax Visa for Pakistanis.
Really? The Kargil misadventure was a "peace" initiative? I was still happy that India took the high road and decided to talk peace despite the war mongering and provocation from Musharraf. Contrary to most people's understanding, it was under the Vajpayee-Musharraf era that we had our best relations, and MMS was also not averse to discussing a permanent solution to the Kashmir issue. But as it so happens inexplicably and predictably in politics, Musharraf was kicked out into exile.
Oh really?
hmm, let's examine with some statistics.
Regions with significant populations of Overseas Pakistanis.
Saudi Arabia 1,500,000
United Kingdom 1,200,000
United Arab Emirates 1,200,000
United States 1,163,000
Canada 124,730
Italy 100,000
Kuwait 100,000
Oman 85,000
Greece 80,000
France 60,000
Qatar 83,000
Spain 47,000
Bahrain 45,000
Netherlands 40,000
Norway 36,400
Germany 31,000
Libya 30,000
Denmark 21,642
Australia 20,000
India didn't even make the the top list brah. In fact Indian Government hasn't even released any data on % of Pakistanis living and working in India.Come on India, you've got to market yourselves better if you're after expatriate workers.

Nor do we want your kind in our pure and sacred land, Mr shareef knows very well that we will never allow open visa system with India, he just makes outrageous comments to get publicity.
Even if there was an open visa system that probably will mean Punjabi or sindh and if we caught your kind in our land then we make sure we purify you.
Wrong most pakistanis don't want peace with India, only those do who share some connection with them.
Musharraf wanted peace because he is a bihari, nite someone native to the lands that makeup Pakistan, the man is and was genuine as altaf hussain, these people have taken advantage of our hospitality and open arms.
i was sleepy And i read .." Pakistan should unilaterally abolish : Nawaz Shar "![]()
too much ghee in his aloo gosht----maybe he had brain (!--does he have a brain?) hemorrahage....
Where is Tameem backing Nawaz up now? Hahahahahah.![]()
It just shows to what extent Nawaz Sharif has lost it.
The issue is not so much whether it is a good idea or bad, but how realistic it is. As the Indians have demonstrated, there is zero chance of India reciprocating, so it is utterly moronic of Nawaz Sharif to even suggest the concept.
It may happen in the distant future after relations have improved and mutual trust has reached a certain level, but, to suggest it at this point in time, is nothing short of 'mental'.
