I was aware of the visit last week. I also new the Americans were intending to play games like they did yesterday. They only pulled SOME of their negotiating team to flex their muscles knowing William was coming today - so childish i could yawn.
I genuinely believe for the betterment of Pakistan they should say "Thank you but no thank you with your negotiations - we would rather you left and let us be". Do it amicably but do it. Its better for Pakistan in the long run...

This is no game being played by either side, but serious parlaying for high stakes.

Yes, I agree with you, but only if Pakistan is ready to say that from economic and governance standpoints. That readiness is not likely to be achieved for quite some time yet, in my opinion. To do so now would be premature and perilous.

Don't know if the Russia influence Northern Route is either too expensive or Americans are not willing to coddle Putin a lot but, yes, there is desperation to open the routes through Pakistan.

I think Pakistan and United States are in the same kind co-dependence on the regional security issues as China-USA are on the trade issues: One cannot be just too aggressive..just yet, if ever.
