Bombay Rockers, Stereo Nation and Richi Rich set to rock Pakistan!

LAHORE: Popular music band Stereo Nation will perform in Lahore on September 1, while other bands Bombay Rockers and Richi Rich will entertain fans in Karachi and Islamabad, event organizer Jahanzeb Khan told Daily Times on Friday.

He said Stereo Nation would rock Lahore on September 1, Richi Rich would perform at Karachi Air Force Club on August 29 and Bombay Rockers would enrich the pop music scene in Islamabad on August 31. He said that when Stereo Nation toured here a few years ago, Lahoris gave them a whopping welcome in terms of large crowds at its concert.

Jahanzeb said the concerts are being organized to promote a new music channel recently been launched. He said that Pakistani singers Ali Azmat, Ibrar-ul-Haq and Abbas Ali Khan would also perform. The organizer said that strict security arrangements had been made for the concerts.

A brief background of Stereo Nation is that Taz, the main vocalist of Stereo Nation, is a British born Asian raised in Warwickshire in the UK, who established himself as a recording artist with the release of his debut album, ‘Hit the Deck’. He stormed the UK Asian pop charts for 36 weeks at number one. The album became a big hit when it came to selling records of Asian fusion.
