Default Poll: Pakistan India Peace Process

Do you think that India is really interested in peace process with Pakistan?

MTT had launched a poll to know about what people have an opinion about Indian offers of peace talks with Pakistan. The poll had a very simple question as mentioned below and people are given three choices.

Do you think that India is really interested in peace process with Pakistan?

No 65 Votes 86.70 %
Yes 09 Votes 12.00 %
Can't Say Anything 01 Votes 01.30 %

Number of Voters: 75
Last Vote: Monday, November 22, 2009.

Conclusion:

As it is clear from the poll results, the overwhelming majority of the people do not think that India is really interested in Peace Talks with Pakistan. While there are few who think so, but they are unable to have any impact on the final output of the poll.

Few words from the Editor:

If there is any country in the world, which not only uses terrorism as tool to control its own people but also to implement its foreign policy, it is India. India, as a country, which started its life with military intervention in Goa, Nizam, Kashmir, and many other princely states and territories in the sub-continent. India, under heavy influence of Chankya Philosophy, frequently and speedily changes its position according to its requirements. If we look only on what is going on between Pakistan and India in past 60 years. We will come to this conclusion, that India talks only when it finds no other way to get out of trouble. Otherwise, India never bothers to talk. In early days of Kashmir dispute, it was India, which ran into UN Security Council and seek help of international community to establish ceasefire between Indian forces and Kashmiri Freedom fighters, who were making significant gains against Indian intrusion. But once the ceasefire established, India keep lying with the people of Kashmir for many years and then simply denied to give the right of self-determination to the people of Kashmir. In so many other issues, India uses the same approach not only against Pakistan, but also against all of its neighbours including China, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Maldives. India is illegally building dams and trying to stop the water flow in Bangladesh and Pakistan. It is in partnership with many countries including USA and Israel, the objective of which is to destabilise Pakistan and occupy Pakistan’s Nuclear Assets. It is sponsoring terrorism from Afghanistan into Pakistan. India’s only foreign military base in Farkhor, Tajikistan is aimed to target Pakistan. This base acts as a base station for all India’s Anti Pakistan covert activities from Afghanistan into troubled areas of Northern Pakistan.

Despite all its overt and covert activities, India keep juggling with Pakistan with so called peace talks and that is also without any pre-conditions with the condition that Pakistan will not support terrorists activities inside India. There goes no day when Indian authorities do not issue a statement or two that India is sincerely interested in unconditional peace talk with Pakistan, but Pakistan has to stop supporting terrorists groups acting inside India. Sure this is not going to happen, as even if Pakistan supports terrorists activities in India, It will never admit it and if is not then there is no question of admitting and thus this Indian condition will never met and so the condition less peace talks will always remain a dream.

Do you think that India is really interested in peace process with Pakistan?
